Damn it. Do you guys think there's any way the start of the season somehow gets pushed back by all this crap? I know it's unlikely, but it's definitely gonna take some time to sort this all out.
Depends on what sort of gambling activity they were involved with I guess. If its not basketball related, it won't be so bad. Here's to hoping they like baseball!
Thankfully (IMO), very few people believe like you. I think what you are suggesting is insane. Dogfighting and deliberate animal cruelty is sadistic and reprehensible, but equating animal to human life is beyond nutty from my standpoint. I agree with you about the people who say Vick is being singled out because he is black. They have a warped view of things. I'm sick of people who play the race card every time a black celebrity gets caught doing sometime wrong. Minorities do get singled out sometimes, but not in this case.
Umm, Do you eat meat? And uh, You think I deserve to die if I went out on a wild boar hunt or something?
Eating meat for food is different. And hunting, while I think is kind of barbaric, the hunters aren't into torturing an animal and instead kill it cleanly. To even compare either case with which vick did is asinine. We're talking about someone electrocuting dogs, hanging them and slamming them to the ground until death. That goes beyond just killing a dog for losing, but is depraved and sick. They got enjoyment over finding different ways to torture and kill a dog before death. Yup the same as eating meat or hunting. Next time use your head and think before you post.
No need to withhold judgement anymore cause vick pleads guilty now. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2983121 Vick faces prison time after agreeing to plead guilty RICHMOND, Va. -- Michael Vick's lawyer said Monday the NFL star will plead guilty to federal dogfighting conspiracy charges, putting the Atlanta Falcons quarterback's career in jeopardy and leaving him subject to a prison term.
