It seems the girl is 3-year old, I mean the girl was born before TMAC married.Maybe TMAC is not a real hypocrite,

Look at it honestly, people. There's too much personal gain and security in it for the woman to not look into. All you guys stating the man needs to step up to his responsibilities to be a dad...while the girl collects his money and lives her life sleeping with other men and partying...? True at least she's taking care of the child compared to a father thats absent, but that doesnt automatically make her Ms Suzie Homemaker either.

It amazes me in 2007, where EQUALITY between genders has been going for almost a century, where women have fought to attain similar standards and expectations that men receive, that people won't call out women on their motives. This isnt 1850- Woman CAN control their births now.

A woman willingly allowing a MARRIED man to enter her unprotected, while she herself is un-pilled or unprotected...its automatically assumed she's attempting to have a FAMILY LIFE of her own out of that??

Not saying women shouldnt get anything, but women are openly cheating the system. Its Adult Support.

Doubt it... there aren't that many rich guys knocking up women... most of these dads out of wedlock are pretty much broke, and contribute minimally.

 

I think you misunderstand what I said. I'm trying to say that although McGrady is responsible for the kid, the woman basically sold herself in order to get some cash out of McGrady, which is decidedly not cool. I don't have much respect for gold diggers at all.

If a merchant hoodwinks you with hidden fine print, you've agreed to do what the fine print says, so you've got to do it.... but the merchant is still a crook. That's what I'm trying to say.

 

This reminds me of a post someone made in the Where is Maxwell thread. If he agrees to a huge monthly payment he has to always pay it or something. A lot of athletes supposedly get screwed because they only make big money the first few years of the babys life and then have to continue paying that money until the baby is 18 even tho they don't make anything anymore. Is stuff like that true or was someone just bull**** posting? I don't really know what to think about all this. TMac should pay but not to let some woman live a life of luxury cuz she got some rich guy to knock her up. Maybe he should have to pay way above average child support and also immediately put mass cash in a trust fund the kid can get at 21 or something. These situations are sad for everyone involved.

There was a bit of hyperbole to my statement must say..

My real actual thinking was 2 things:
- Abortions would rise slightly but they would rise. After impregnation some women once they realize they're going to have to take care of a child FULLY to themselves with NO financial support to even consider from the family, man or courts, itd scare them some and they'd back out of the pregnancy
- Abortions would stay the same or lower, cuz some wouldnt even get to the point of needing an abortion in the first place, cuz some of those worst-case women would protect themselves more once they know they cant haphazardly bring a child into the world. Alot of it just cant be helped though..

Its the middle to high middle class it'd affect the most, not the rich guys. They might not offer a lot, but they offer "something", which is all some women need to go forward with something...

Those broke dads with kids out of wedlock...if the women to these guys absolutely KNEW they were only going to get very little, that there was NO hope from the courts, I bet a few of them would think about it a little...only a little little though you're right on that...

 

This judge has a golden chance to set a precedent here. dont allow gold diggers like this get away ith murder. uptill tracy has done he's part by providing her with a luxtuary apartment and a fairly good income.

 

I believe at a change in income they can take it back to court and renegotiate payment amounts.

Besides, I think the whole marriage thing is a cover for him anyway. Tony P is less masculine than Sheryl Swoopes. Parker gets his cover, Eva gets into the Spurs locker room, everyone is happy.

 

I think some of us are more disappointed than sad. I remember watching T-Mac's documentary on FSN a few months ago, and he was talking about how important family is to him. He also mentioned something about his father not being around much of the time, and he didn't want to be like that. Looks like his illegitimate daughter is going without a father.
