shaq's smart! As long as he befriends and says good things about yao he'll keep getting endorsements from china . CHA CHING! Not like he needs it. Is he the only nba player that is a non-rocket that is getting endorsements from china? I don't think so but it seems like it.

I played some B-ball over in China, it is a different game and definitely has less offense than here in the US. I was the only English speaker and didn't know the score or anything. I found out later we were playing to 6 by 1's...

We were at the end of the 2nd game when I found out.

As dumb as he may seem in the public eye, Shaq finds a million and one ways to make money. Marketing genius.

 

A gift is a gift but this gift is without any class! Also sounds like O'Neil is trying to force himself onto the Houston Wedding Guest List. O'Neil is the last person who should be invited. He is forever tooting his own horn!

 

I don't question that Shaq has a good head for business or a good hear but boy does he come off as immature at times. I mean publically declaring that he is invited to Yao's wedding without checking to see if he got an invite yet? To me that's classless but I suspect if he hasn't been invited Yao will invite him now to save face. Then saying he is going to give Yao a gift without consider what Yao and Ye's taste are.

Also what fundamentals is Shaq teaching Chinese players? This is how you don't hit free throws, this is how you back somebody down if you are much stronger and get a break on offensive fouls?

Wow whats with the hate on Shaq? How do you know that Shaq did not receive an invite? Maybe he has, maybe not but you don't know nor does anyone else. Seriously, did Shaq steal your girl or something? He is a pro basketball player, he knows his stuff. How can spending some time with a dominant big man like him have negative effect on your game? I'm sure those kids are thrilled that an NBA Superstar is over there helping them out. Looking at the lack of quality Chinese players, I'm sure any help is greatly appreciated.

Shaq is easily one of the more likeable NBA players today. Unlike a lot of those guys, he doesn't take himself seriously. Most of the time he is always joking around and in these days, you're gonna need a couple guys like that to break to ice.
