I saw this tonight. It was great. Visually very appealing. Well acted. Well directed. go see it, especially if you like cool space movies... http://www.sunshinedna.com/ http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/sunshine/ <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/WNZwrgFo3GE"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/WNZwrgFo3GE" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Well I just saw this one today and was thoroughly impressed...it's a shame it's not getting more publicity. The visuals are simply breathtaking, the characters intriguing and the plotline fairly credible (for someone who's not a physicist). First two acts of the movie has the feel of an epic, sci-fi odyssey while the third act bears a resemblance to Event Horizon. And the story keeps you on edge the whole way.
I'm a very big fan of Chris Evans. I was waiting for this movie to come out since I saw the previews months ago. I wasn't aware of it being out already so I will be seeing this soon. So many good movies out this summer.. It's really starting to take a big chunk out of my wallet.
just finished watching it..it wasnt all too bad Spoiler but i didnt like the character of the villian. i mean how did he get all fleshy? if he was in the observation deck why didnt he burn up like all the others? what made him go completely insane? i really didnt like the blurry shots whenever he was in a scene
yeah this is my kind of movie but i didnt really like it all that much. it had a few good images going for it, but it almost gets to be too much. i did like the soundtrack though.
Spoiler you know, I thought the exact same thing the first few days after I saw it, but now, coming back to this thread, and thinking about if they just had a non-blurry "normal" villain, I'm kinda thinking that'd just be stupid. In retrospect, I think the villain effect he used actually fits...
Spoiler I think he just constantly exposed himself to just enough sunlight to damage his skin but not to do permanent damage (like the psychologist character did). I think the other crew members turned to ash because they possibly killed themselves after realizing that A) the captain went crazy and/or B) the mission had become sabotaged and there was no hope of returning.
