This has been the biggest freakin' waste of nearly an hour ever. We are the biggest fraud in the NBA right now.

Maybe we can place bets. Will the Rockets score over 30 points in the first half? I vote "no".

What kind of odds can I get on not scoring 30 by the start of the 4th?

You guys realize the Rockets were right in this game until that absolutely horrid flagrant foul call, right?

You blame the foul for the Rockets only managing 24 in the half?

Come to think of it, you ARE watching 24. 24 points in the entire first half.

I blame it for halting any momentum. It's hard to get up for playing when you know the officials will take away any good play you make.

Why aren't the Rockets running any ****ing plays?!? All I'm seeing is Steve or Moochie dribbling down the clock. For God's sake, ISOLATION PLAYS DON"T WORK AGAINST A ZONE!!!! If Rudy doesn't get them to run a decent play in the second half, then he should be fired tomorrow.

Give me a break! One flagrant foul is responsible for the Rockets turning the ball over on every other possession, and missing every layup they attempt? One flagrant foul has the team so depressed, that they can't make a basic jump shot? Come on Cat...

I don't know what the hell you call a Moochie Posession.

I bet Mike Fratello really gets a kick out of Moochie Norris and his 24 second clock dribbling exhibitions.

Weren't you the one who said the Spurs would suck this year because of how depressed they'd be about the Laker series? You're telling me it's possible for an entire team to be affected an entire season by something the previous year, and a bad call can't affect a team for half a quarter? Please.

I suspect that shooting at 25-26% has something to do with this. The Spurs are turning the ball over all over the place, and the Rockets can't put it in the hole. I am really starting to worry about their offense... One or two games can be explained as one or two bad-shooting games. But this is ridiculous.

I hate these threads and I usually respect The Cat's optimism, but the Rockets had no momentum before the call and conitnued to have none afterwards. They have a number of problems right now, but the most obvious, of course, are that thye dont run plays and that they can't shoot. Hopefully, the shooting will come around, although I honestly expect to see a long season of poor shooting. Why? Because the Rockets dont run plays. When you dont run plays against the new zone defense you are constantly taking contested shots and constatntly missing them. I dont expect them to be running any new plays naytime soon - the staff had all summer to work on this and apparently didnt.

On a positive side, our defense is rambuncous enough to allow us to beat most of the teams we should. NEver would have guessed offense would be the problem, but it is obivous from Rudy's statements and the team's play that he has been concentrating very heavily on defense and not enough on offense, especially given the new rules.

The defense so far this game is mediocre at best. As for not scoring because they're not running plays, that's probably part of it. But they're missing wide open shots, too...
