Kobe's favorite sports player: Ronaldinho. Says he's a HUGE soccer fan, says people here are missing out on soccer. I am officially a Kobe fan...

Who cares? Kobe is the best player in world and the most popular sports figure in southern california, where Jimmy Kimmel Live is filmed. BTW, Kobe's wife is damn fine.
Kobe is my favorite player in the NBA, and the best player in the world, and also probably the most popular player outside the U.S.
Maybe we need a soccer forum. Personally i like it as well. It's still amazes me how it's the #1 youth sport in the USA and then everyone hates it later due to low scoring and find it boring. I bet if a goal was worth 6 points and then you got a penalty kick with no goaly it wouldn't seem so slow paced and dull to most Americans. Football might actually seem more boring to many people.
Here you go; it's in two parts: Part I: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/ALUjFWHGRtw"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/ALUjFWHGRtw" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object> Part II: <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/3wqqZH_8ahg"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/3wqqZH_8ahg" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Great post. I feel the exact same way. A lot of my friends complain that soccer is boring to them because of the low scoring games like 1-0 or 0-0. But then I tell them that if you actually played soccer before, you'll know how hard it is to score a goal and all of the stradegy that goes in to the game. So everytime you have a goal scoring opportunity, that is a lot of excitement there. Back to the topic: I agree with Kobe that if you don't watch soccer in Europe or the world cup, then you're truly missing out on the most popular sport in the world.
The talk of soccer gives me a headache, mainly due to the fact that everywhere else, it's called football.
Soccer... ah soccer... It's getting there. I know this is going to sound lower than dog poo.... but we gotta wait for these older generations to die off for it to get BIG over here. It's already big here... It's just not BIG. Right now I just wish they would play more Houston games on T.V. As far as Kobi liking Ronaldinho, which is fine by me... But I find it a bit ironic that my opinion of Kobi and Ronaldinho are pretty much the same. They tend to hog the ball alot. Now that doesn't mean they don't look good doing it... Or that they don't have the skills to dribble all over teams... I just enjoy a solid passing game, creating space and using that space much better. Then again... I guess I'm biased, I was a CB. lol
