but seriously...this reminds me: I wish we had more RPD Minutiae threads

 

what color dresses will the bridesmaids be wearing? Don't you just love weddings

I couldn't live without my "what color was Yao Ming's Poop today" thread.

 

I don't see anything wrong with those threads in principle. I believe they are of interest to a lot of members here. Nobody is forced to read them. It's the offseason.

 

I agree. But 25yrs (or so) from now when Yao is retired, I will object to the "Yao is a grandfather" thread.

 

Even if the Rockets' starting front line are all Yao's kids?

Its fine when they yap about Yao is happy sitting down on the toilet thread, but when they keep disrepecting this house. Kenny , Charles, Larry Smith, Ralph Sampson... of course blaming Tmac when Yao sucks I can't just sit their and let them rape our history like that.

I do tend to think that the threads of a personal nature are more like celebrity gossip blogs than sports. If it is basketball related (injuries, workouts, his schedule for returning), I'm all for it. But, I'm not all that interested in his wedding or his latest public appearance.

At this point I think I would get depressed if I didn't get my daily "Yao Ming minutiae" fix.

 

doesn't China have a luxury tax that kicks in when you exceed your kid limit.

 

Not if your kids are born American. They are exempted from the luxury tax.

 

I guess there can always be exceptions, especially if you are a good breed.

Back to topic. What about the X player got arrested again threads? Or the sighting of Y player int he mall threads? Or the Vida in TMac's softball tourney threads?

 

They would be good if they didn't fuel idiots to start flinging poop at eachother like brooksba...err..monkeys.
