Looking at the schedule, I'd be ecstatic if we can finish around 5-10 games above .500 by All Star Weekend. We play: San Antonio twice in the same month and 3 times before the end of January Dallas twice in the same month and 3 times before January Utah twice Phoenix twice The 2nd half of the schedule is really favorable due to the fact that it looks like most of the games are against the East (and we've been a team that takes care of East teams) I think if we can survive the first couple of months, we should be alright.
Damn, we have a tough 5 game stretch and 4 out of them are on ESPN Wed 14 L.A. Lakers 8:00pm -- ESPN Fri 16 @ San Antonio 7:00pm -- ESPN Sat 17 Phoenix 7:30pm -- -- Wed 21 Dallas 6:30pm -- ESPN Fri 23 @ Miami 7:00pm -- ESPN San Antonio + Phoenix Back2Back
ouch...i guess its our time to prove we are an elite..i hope we atleast go 4-1 during that stretch..or even 3-2
dang i was hoping for 2 home games around that weekend so i can go to both looks like i'd be only going to one unless i go to the one sat and get a ride to dallas for the other game hmmmmmmm now i have to wait to see when tickets go on sale for the lakers game home opener. who's going with me in LA??
15 games is a lot. It's not just about respect, it's about entertainment. All of our national games last year were horrible to watch; I remember wanting to throw a baseball at the tv during the pacers game on TNT. I love watching the rox, but I can't deny that the nuggets and warriors are more fun to watch. San Antonio has 15 nationally televised games and they're the champs. I consider it a compliment to have as many as them when we're just as boring.
Actually, with the difficult schedule in the first half of the season, we can really get our rotation sorted out by then. Probably know enough about the Rocket players to make a major trade during the All-Star period, and to finalise the playoff team.
why do we ALWAYS play Phoenix on the second night of a back-to-back? If I recall, last season 3 of the 4 times we played them were on the second night of a back-to-back. That's gotta be one of the worst teams to play after playing the night before, because of all their running.
you'd come out to LA for the game? SWEET I am feverishly looking at deals for plane ticket for LAX to hou->dal->LA
T-Mac better get his elbow band next season and not wear any leg stuff. Also I think 15 is a good amount of National T.V.
cavs are not entertaining at all..lol...i hate all this BS bout Lebron..he is not even the best in the nba so i eish the media would jump off his piece...
Not when sorry LA has over 20 something games on National T.V. http://www.nba.com/lakers/schedule/results_2007.html
I remember back in the day even Telemundo gave us a national game, i believe it was the 2002-2003 season. I'm not satisfied with 15 games It's not enough.
