I don't understand what Charles Oakley's problem with Tim Floyd is. Jerry Krause is killing himself wheeling and dealing to get some talent for Tim Floyd to work with. I'm sure Krause will put together another dynasty given enough time and money. Oak should just shut up, collect his money and mentor the younger players as they pass through. Quick! While they're not looking! Oakley + Miller -for- Cato + Walt (add whatever starch necessary... i.e. Collier + Drew obligation). If they were to do this deal, the Rockets would shed even more salary next summer. Even better, they won't have to give Rice and Willis extensions into their 50s just to keep Cato playing at the amazing Ostertag production of 6/6/1.
I wouldn't say he's been "killing himself"...trading Brand didn't exactly help Floyd this year or the next couple of years (although I still like that move). Michael Jordan fell into Chicago's laps, THAT's how they won championships. It had nothing to do with Jerry Krause.
