that would be really funny, think about it:

we traded francis for tmac, then got francis back
we traded james for alston, then got james back
we traded howard for james ....

at this rate, we will collect all NBA players in 5 years!

I totally agree. I just cant see what JHo has that Scola will not bring to this team. If so many posters seem to think the Rockets still need to address the PF position which I disagree with, (having Scola, Hayes, Butler, Reed, Landry...I think is already a much better group of PFs than the Rox have had in many, many years and certainly much better than last years) then why not go after a PF that is more atheletic, better defensively, and can actually rebound in traffic vice the A_3PO aptly-described finesse guy running on fumes? Let go of JHo, I know its hard for some of you to let go of our former Rockets even if they are mediocre!

dont sign him as a player, but sign him as a trainer or something... just to bring up the morale and energy of our team!

I would him back just for that very reason! Besides, he's a good club leader.

We already have too many players and don't need him, but he was a really good team leader while he was here.

I can understand some people not wanting to re-sign him, but I don't get some of the JHo hate on this thread.

If minimum, why not? He was once the leader in Rox locker room and did a great offcourt job with younger player, he is one of the most important factors in the chemistry we had last season. I really like to see him in the roster again.

lol.......so much hatred for jho. As a person, I like Juwan, he brings leadership to the locker room. Theres no doubt about that. But as a basketball player? howard suks. We'll only get him to a one year deal if we fail to trade alston for another PF i think.

doesnt suck, but not great. he averaged more points and rebounds last year coming off the bench than scola will average this year as a starter.

If Juwan was offering his services for the vet's min he'd probably go to the Bulls first and they have a thing for vet PF's plus he's a hometown guy.

I'd be interested in bringing him in just in case Scola's a bust, but in reality Scola's not going to be a bust and Juwan's not going to be taking Hayes' minutes off the bench so there's really no playing time for the guy.

I'd feel a little more loyalty toward him if he'd ever, ever, EVER showed up in a big game.
