I wanted to see who all was coming back this year for Fantasy Football. The players from last year were:

    Fade
    Smeg
    Finn
    Paul
    Moe
    nWo34
    PSJ
    Jent
    Sam Cassell
    Greek
    Rocketball
whoever the abdominal nutcrackers was ???

Anyways, I want to find out who plans on playing this year, as well as whether or not if Mr. Smeg is going to take back over his little baby - if not, I'll continue with it. Also, need to get everyones opinions on the following:

    1. Live Draft again this year or BBS draft
    2. Stay with Fanstar or different FF website?
    3. Any Rules / Score changes you want to see implemented?
    4. Similar to baseball, do we want to start this as a keeper league too?
    5. if a few drop out, do we stick with 12?

    Let me know...............

    I'm down.

    1) When you mean live draft, meeting up somewhere or having it live on the site? If it's on the site, that's cool. If not, BBS draft would be fine.

    2) I would prefer Yahoo, but Fanstar is cool.

    3) For the draft, I think the winner should have the last pick and the ones that sucked, should have the top draft picks....kind of like the lottery.

    4) No

    5) 10-12.

If a few drop out this year and you need another team, let me know. I'd be down.

It's hard to come back after such a heartbreaking loss last year, where I had the best overall team in the league by far but ended up losing the championship by a frickin' touchdown to the team with the biggest first round bust of the season. Man, that was so depressing. Nevertheless, I will return.

    1. Much prefer a BBS draft. Last year's live draft was too buggy.
    2. Stay with Fanstar.
    3. Make the championship game two weeks (15 & 16) and add together the two totals to determine an overall winner. Helps prevent a lesser team from getting hot and stealing the title. Yes, this is sour grapes speaking. :p
    4. Due to the frequency of player injuries in football, and the massively huge impact one single player can have on a team and the league in general (i.e. LT2), I would prefer to keep it as a redraft.
    5. I would prefer a league size of 14 or 12 at the lowest.

That's okay for a keeper league format where a team's basic structure remains the same from year to year, but doesn't really make sense in a redraft. I say we stick with our traditional randomized draft-generation.

I'm back and I agree with fade, the BBS draft seems to work a lot better, especially when we get it started early.

Does the league have a random draft order generator or does the commish put the players in that order?

    I'm in.

Live draft is good. I can do without keeper league in football. 12 teams is a good number. Thanks.

    nutcrack??

Were not doing a keeper league, not sure why I even mentioned it. Also, it seems everyone wants to keep it a bbs draft, especially after what fanstar did to our live draft last year.

When do we want to start the draft? We have to remember it is 20 rounds, probably do first 5 rounds 8 hours between picks, last 15 rounds 6 hours or something like that.

I'm back for more thrashing. Remind me not to draft any more Oakland RBs in the first round.

It generally takes about 2.5 weeks to finish one of these drafts. Starting sometime in the middle of August should be okay.

It would be nice if you could generate the draft order directly after all players are confirmed, for planning purposes.

How about starting either August 16th, 17th, or 18th? Any other suggested dates?

count me as a maybe, work internet access is near impossible, so would have to rely on picks via email... so not sure how others feel about that

will check with Paul, but if you go a bbs draft then won't bother asking him

have a couple of weeks off coming up soon, not sure exactly when sometime between now and end of August I would guess

what about a quick draft, set a date now and knock it off in a few hours

Does this make me "in"? That would be pretty dope if true.

    Give me true.
