he averaged 26.4 ppg last season i wouldnt be too worried.. but then again the bone spurs is an issue..
its a great now move for the celtics but they will need to sign some vetrans to fill out the roster they have basically just rajon rondo and thats it. after the huge big gigantic 3. They will need some journey men to fill out the roster now because they dont need young players, they need to make a few more moves to make this a vetran club and go for it.
Hate to break it to ya, but assuming that all players are healthy: KG + PP + RayRay >>> Yao + TMac + Franchise Having said that, I still think under ideal circumstances: Houston Rockets >>> Boston Celtics
I wouldn't. He only needs to catch and shoot...and he's still lethal with two superstars to take away all the defensive attention from him. I've been saying for years that the most ideal player for a team like the Rox with Yao/TMac is Mr. "He Got Game"; the Celtics actually made it happen.
at the point, telfair was deadman walking. the club were going to get rid of him one way or the other. i think leon powe will have a breakout season while big baby will surprise people. tony allen was formerly doc river's preferred starter at sg rondo r.allen t.allen pierce kg powe davis perkins scalabrine they do get a te, enough to trade for rafer, but their most interesting piece (green) is gone.
What does that mean? . . . I think talent wise KG + PP + RA > TMAC, YAO, SF3. But as of right now Rockets are much, much deeper than celtics.
Is anyone else slightly disturbed at the idea that some idiot paid Ratliff a contract worth like $80 million? He's never averaged more than 12 ppg or 8 rpg during any season. What they hell were they thinking?
Ya, I know. What about Jim McIlvaine, Todd MacCullough, and Adonal Foyle. Ridiculous amounts of money for extremely unproductive players.
Theo Ratliff has been one of the best Shot Blockers in his generation. And in today's NBA some teams are willing to pay a role player franchise player kind of contracts just because of one excellent specialty. For instance, if I was in the NBA today, I would get paid 10's of millions of dollars since I would be the most skilled bench warmer in my generation. I have a personal and secret way of keeping any given bench extra warm...
The Celts are going to need some bodies if they've just pulled a 4-for-1 trade and waived Allan Ray. I wonder if we could send some of our excess their way in return for a single player who might help out? Do they have anyone worth looking at?
