cmone man.... bonzi was never in shape. he has more game than the average rocket despite being a ******. utah series: big difference as in - someone other that tmac who could take his man 1 on 1 and force utah to make choices/adjustments. tmac and yao were going to do their thing - analysts said it all when they said role players would have to step up to win it for rox. for us that was, hoping that luther or shane would hit some 3's when left open. bonzi would have made a big difference.

I think we need to just cut Bonzi some slack and give him enough rope to hang his own neck. We have more than enough talent now to see if Bonzi can contribute this year. If Bonzi turns out to be a bust then at least we wont have any doubt in our minds about what Bonzi could have done for our team. Its a long 82 game season and we will defiently know by playoff time if Bonzi is ready to contribute, so everyone just relax and let the season play it self out.

Bonzi performed in every year except for the last one. I don't really want to play the blame game with what happened last year. I just care about what he can do for us this year....it's better timing to have him this year than last year anyay...(ironically, if he had played well last year, he wouldn't be with us this year because he likely would have opted out) Bonzi will want to please Adelman. I think Bonzi feels like he deosn't have to walk on eggshells with Adelman as he did with JVG and deep down Adelman respects him more and appreciates his talent...it will give him more confidence. We could have a real murderer's row bench mob....Bonzi, Francis/James, etc.

Bonzi's wont get as much minutes as he thinks while sf3, tm and sb play at 2&3. He will be a bust again.

If anyone will coax a decent season out of him, it would be Adelman. But that still remains to be seen. I hope Bonzi accepts reality that his bankroll opportunity has come and gone. Right now he couldn't start on half the teams out there. Hopefully he plays now out of pride of being as good a player as he used to be...but I doubt it.

Forget about last season, belive me. Bonzi will be another player. Why? Cause he is healthly and there is Rick Adelman. We all know Bonzi didn't/doesn't like JVG but Rick Adelman is a completly different story.

Agree 100%, he even looks a little overweight in that series against the Spurs and he still completely dismantles the best defense in basketball.
