RIP Marvin, but we'd be remiss if we didn't recall his most famous folly:

Sad news. I grew up watching him every Friday. He's a huge reason why I have a soft heart for other people and why I'm a broadcast journalism student at Syracuse.

    RIP.

Seriously? Not because of Peter Jennings or something?

I don't know what it was about him.. I think the one thing that got me was his huge shades that he sports.

He was the original "investigative journalist" ie. the old Wayne Dolcefino.

You're obviously too young to know his impact, but let's just say Geraldo learned from him well.

Funny aside: The reason he learned about the "chicken ranch" at all was due to ZZ Top's "La Grange."

Well I wanted to study journalism because of him and Bryant Gumbel. But I picked Syracuse because of Bob Costas, Ted Koppel, and Marv Albert's voice.

This is sad news. I loved watching his news segments on tv. It'll never be the same without him. RIP Marvin.

RIP Marvin.......hopefully there will be someone who cares as much as he did and pick up where he left off.

Worked until the end.....he was definitely the man.

A true Houston legend. When I was 2 I had my finger bit off by my pet rabbit, and Marvin actually did a segment on the news about it. RIP.
