    Holmes says he wants to play for Chiefs in '07

    "One thing we've learned about Priest is you should never try to second-guess him," Waters said at the time. "If Priest says he's ready to play, you know he's going to have kept himself in shape. You know he's going to be ready to resume his place as one of the best in the business. You don't ever want to count Priest out."

    If Priest is healthy the chiefs have an insane 1-2 punch at RB....if LJ doesn't hold out.

    This is a cool story. I love Priest Holmes. I don't think he will actually make the team though, he is what... 34? Been out of the game for what... 2yrs? Running back is one of the most competitive positions in sports. I don't see it happening.

    It will be an amazing comeback if he can pull it off -- right now Larry Johnson is hating this news because he's trying to get a big contract.

    Chiefs coach Herm Edwards says Priest Holmes will get "every opportunity" to contribute in training camp.

    No matter what the K.C. Star's Jason Whitlock believes, every indication coming from the Chiefs is that Holmes' return is not just a financial ploy. Priest will begin camp on PUP, but is eligible to be activated at any point.
