for quite a while, since probably the start of Francis' rookie year i have been collecting magazines with rockets on the cover (for framing one day to put on the wall of my future gameroom). but that has completely died out the last year or so. no sport illustrated, espn the magazine, or slam covers anymore. so does anyone here think with francis back and the team probably going to be about as good a team that the rockets have had in 10 years that there will be a few. maybe all 3 (franchise,tmac, and yao) can make a cover. honestly never thought i could get another on with francis in a rockets uniform i think that yao ming and tmac have about an equal chance for getting an mvp award this year. with the biggest competition coming from lebron james or kobe bryant if he gets traded to a good team. if anything if morey keeps this up he may be on the cover of a magazine. i have a great feeling about this season coming up. and im pretty sure i havent had that feeling since we traded for pippen.
You better hope that Slam doesn't put the Rockets on the cover. The readers and some editors are very superstitious and they believe that right after a player is on the cover, something bad happens to them (trade, injury, losing season, etc.)
thats a lot of players that have been on the cover of slam. which tmac, yao, and francis all have already been on before.
man the last cover of any sort that i remember is last year when T-mac made the cover of NBA Live.........we had a decent season hope the rockets make the cover of SI when they do there yearly pre-season rankings
While we are on the topic of magazine covers, I headed over to SI.com like a year ago and wanted to purchase a Hakeem cover and they were trying to rip me off.... It's a freaking piece of paper and they wanted like $30 or something. Capitalism sure can suck at times!
One more thing: Was there ever a poster of the T-Mac over Bradley in the 05 playoffs made? I used my Motorola phonetools to upload that picture as my background on my phone, but I would love to have a poster of it in my room.

I think Artest was on the cover of the NBA Preview Issue of Sports Illustrated the year after the brawl.

I don't think it's bad luck. Wade won the championship and finals MVP averaging 34 pts a night after being on live 06 cover.
Is there a lot of stores/shops in H-Town that sell old school Rockets stuff. I plan on go to the All-Star game in N.O. and I'm going to make a stop in H-Town for a couple days and just buying all the Rockets stuff I can find.
