Yes, in years past...Madden actually had competition this year, so they changed up their style. Read the previews from IGN...they actually played the game and gave their report. The game play in Madden is much improved.
I'll believe it when I see it. 2K > EA every year in gameplay in football games, just absolutely dominateds in basketball games, but do lose in Baseball games. Madden advertising is like a politcal campaign, they promise a better game every year, and never delivers.
Read IGN...the dudes from there got one hour of gameplay about a month ago and they did a write up on their impressions. They were very impressed with the on-the-field action.
I've always been a fan of the 2K series...It sucks about the licensing so no team logos or anything, but for the right price, I'd be all over it...
Because Im an excellent reader. Why dont you buy it and see how in-depth of a football game it is...or just save your money.
I think part of the fun of Madden (or other past NFL games) is going through the draft process. Players getting older, devoloping or declining, and retiring while new players com in. I wonder what 2K8 does, if anything, in this area.
That's what I figured. I'm big into dynasty modes and such. This is reason enough for me to get Madden instead of 2K8.
