planning my wife's birthday party for this friday and thinking of doing the dinner/room package here. anyone ever been?
There is one in Dallas also. They try very hard to be super tacky. For example, during their opening party a Joan Rivers look alike was there to accost people as they came in, they had a naked sushi lady (where the sushi is placed on her body), and a midget walking around in a sombrero with chips in the brim...yes, a walking chip table. That was offensive.
That's a nice present! What's that cost? I took my girls over to the restaurant for dessert the other day. They really enjoyed it. I liked the menu at Monarch, but it is a little pricy. Bring a bottle of wine to open in your room before dinner. I liked the bar and the pool. There's massage tables set all around the pool so they push that. The rooms are fine - the decor is interesting, but ultimately it's just another hotel. If you have a sitter and show your wife she's wonderful, I'm sure that will be very nice for you.
Sounds like the greatest birthday present ever. I'll have to start dropping my girlfriend hints (like inviting midgets over).
My friends tried to get reservation there last saturday and it was completely booked, and they called almost a week a head of time.
