There is alot of talk about Trading one of our Guards, particularly Alston or Head. If you MUST trade one of them, which one would you rather part with? Alston, our starting point guard from last year with reliable ball handling skills, Head, one of our best shooters with a versatile game that hasn't been tapped yet. So all things considered, including salary and contract length, and also current trade value, who would you rather trade? Discuss.
because everybody would vote for Lucas and not Head or Alston. Kind of takes away from the purpose of the poll..
Rafer makes way more money than Head so if anyone is going to go it's going to be Rafer. Les wants to stay under the luxury tax. On the other hand, Head is nearly at 3 million and will also be scrutinized as part of the Moneyball dump salary work in progress.
I'll trade away Alston and keep head. Looking at the guards we have - bonzi, t-mac, james and francis - not many of them are 3 pt shooters. When the ball is thrown inside to yao, the double team comes and yao will kick it out to a player at the 3pt line for a shot. In this case, head will prove to be a valuable asset for our club. We don't need any more ball handlers since we already have T-mac, James and Francis doing the dribbling for us. What we need is that consistent 3pt shooting from head.
If I had to trade one, I'd trade Rafer (for Jeff Foster, get it done Morey!). But both should be on the trading blocks.
Head is still young and has higher potential. If it came down to a choice I would rather keep Head and trade Skip
While adding Francis, James, and Brooks really makes Rafer irrelevant,we need shooters still. Francis is a scorer, but not a shooter. I would keep Head unless you are getting another shooter in return.
Id rather trade head because i think we could keep rafer as a backup point and let francis play the 2 BUT if we can get back a decent pf im all for trading rafer or luther
What are you talking about? MJ is a good 3 point shooter and Tracy is definitely a 3 point shooter, though he is usually a 3 point misser.
Alston will be gone for sure, so it might be better to make a poll of "Luther or Snyder"... Luther or Snyder?
