    agree 120%

i'd rather trade James (later) than Skip. James and Steve are the same type of player. Alston is the only pass-first pure PG we have (AB is just a rookie).

Nejare did seem to have that 15 foot shot going last season. He creates havoc and is a force of destruction.

    How's haslem's shoulder these days.

Sign and trade with GS for Matt Barnes. Sura+Head+protected 1st rounder.
Alston for Foster straight up. Works at realgm.

    Lineup:

    James, Brooks, Francis
    Mcgrady, Francis, Barnes, Wells
    Battier, Barnes, Wells, Mcgrady
    Scola, Hayes, Foster
    Yao, Deke, Foster

    Roster:

    James
    Brooks
    Francis
    Mcgrady
    Barnes
    Wells
    Battier
    Scola
    Hayes
    Yao
    Foster
    Deke

    inactive:
    Landry
    Novac
    Butler

I don't really want to get rid of Alston because I think he would be an effective pg for 20 mins. a game and you could use Brooks, James, Francis as relief. James and Francis can play SG on offense and pg on defense. But it looks Rocket Management does not agree, so I think moving Alston could possibly bring Foster who would be a solid backup at PF and C and would give some insurance in case Scola bombs.

Barnes is just too good to pass up if you can get him with trash in a sign and trade. This would give Adelman a ton of options at virtually every position.

Oops forgot Snyder. If you have Foster, I would rather keep him and not sign Deke. Otherwise, you have to move him for a 2nd round pick or something.

Barnes is intriguing, but could he be playing out his mind in the contract year? I am on the hesitant side to give up Head and Sura's expring contract for Barnes and his potential new lengthy contract.

It is somewhat of a gamble because he'll want multiple years, but I don't think there is a place for head. He is too short for shooting guard and not a good pg. No doubt that Barnes is super athletic so I think it's worth the risk.

I like Foster but you have a point here. We need guys that can do mutiple things on the court. I would rather have a Matt Barnes type of player than Foster.
