I'm not sure what site you guys are running your leagues on ... I've always passed on joining leagues because I never thought I'd have time to maintain it, but I joined this year when my brothers asked.

Question though about Yahoo! ... do you actually have to pay $8 to get the stats to load in the matchups? If you click on "View Matchup", no stats load at all. It's kind of lame.... this is across the board in our league (no users see the stats that I know of). I don't see the point in checking boxscores unless you can see how you're doing that week against your opponent.

im afraid so, clutch, for roto leagues you have to pay for stat tracker

cbs sportsline is the best place to start a league for future reference, they provide live scoring and adjust your team avg points for the week at the end of each day for free

your best bet if its h2h is to get an idea on scoring then go to espn.com and they have updated box scores usually or in game stats(game cast), cbs also has this if your a fantasy owner

    Clutch,

Yahoo is probably one of the best free places to play fantasy b-ball. I'm in several Yahoo leagues and one Sportsline league, and the Sportsline league live draft never happened, and all the teams ended up with an autodraft and no pre-rankings.

With the Yahoo match-up screen, you get the results minus today's games for free. If you want the live up to date scores you do have to pay the $8, which I did. (Since I have 3 Yahoo teams and a couple of teams I track, it's worth it to me.) If you want an idea of how you are doing, you can look at the teams individually and check out the current stats. You won't know the exact results of the match-up, but you can get a pretty good idea. Yahoo is also flexible in the lineups, so that you can change the lineup up to 30 minutes before a game starts, unlike sportsline who only lets you set a line up for the week.

I hope that answers your question sufficiently.

Good luck in your league, and if you need any advice, send me an email with a link to your team page.

    B
