I love the Dream for everyting he did for the Houston Rockets and the city of Houston but now he's an opponent. Personally I would love it if Stevie dunked one on him.

I dunno but I know I don't wanna see what happened tonight:

    From CNNSI.COM

TORONTO (AP) -- Hakeem Olajuwon, who played the biggest part in breaking the NBA record for blocked shots in a game, was surprised the Toronto Raptors did it. So were the Golden State Warriors.

Vince Carter scored 39 points and the Raptors broke their own league mark with 24 blocks in a 109-92 victory against Golden State on Wednesday night.

"Really?" Olajuwon asked. "That was an NBA record?"

Olajuwon led Toronto with nine blocks, while Carter, Antonio Davis, Keon Clark and Tracy Murray each had three. The Raptors set the old mark of 23 against Atlanta last March 23.

"Twenty-four blocks?" Golden State's Antawn Jamison said. "Are you kidding me? I know we missed a lot of layups, but man! I know for sure that Hakeem didn't have nine. He can't even get up now. I'm surprised as anybody."

Golden State coach Dave Cowens said it was crazy and put the blame on an overgenerous stat keeper.

"Maybe some of the layups that we missed were so bad that they called them blocks," said Cowens, who pointed at the woman who keeps track of blocks and said, "Your fingers must be tired!"

Carter, who struggled in Toronto's first two losses of the season, was 6-of-9 from 3-point range, grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds and had six assists for the Raptors, who have won three in a row.

"They gave you some of my blocks," Carter yelled to Olajuwon after the game.

The NBA's leading all-star vote-getter the past two years made five of his seven 3-point attempts in the third, when he had 20 points to tie his team record for points in a quarter. Carter last had 20 in a quarter against Phoenix on Dec. 30, 2000.

"Finally," Carter said of his shooting performance. "It was a good feeling to actually step up and start hitting the jump shot."

Danny Fortson's jumper gave Golden State a one-point lead early in the third, but Toronto followed with a 15-3 run as Carter made three 3-pointers.

Carter converted a three-point play with 3:30 remaining to give Toronto a 16-point lead. Carter went for a dunk, but with Jamison going for a block, Carter stopped in midair, and made an acrobatic layup. Jamison was called for a foul, and Carter made his free throw.

He later hit consecutive 3-pointers, giving Toronto a 21-point lead with 1:18 left in the third.

"When he's feeling the 'J' it's over with," Jamison said. "He made it hurt."

The Warriors didn't get closer than 13 points the rest of the of the way.

Jason Richardson led Golden State with 16 points, while fellow rookie Troy Murphy had 14 points and 10 rebounds for the Warriors, who shot just 32.2 percent, setting a Raptors franchise low for an opponents field goal percentage.

Morris Peterson added 21 points and Davis had 14 points and 16 rebounds for the Raptors, who have won seven straight against Golden State.

    Toronto's 60 rebounds set a franchise record.

Man, Jamison was pretty harsh...he can't even get up now???

I want the Rockets to win, that's all. I could care less what Hakeem does or what we do to him. I just want his old team to show him what he's missing!!

I want Hakeem to go for 35 points, 20 boards, 8 blocks, 5 steals, and 5 assists. I want the Rockets to win 101-100.

Oh ****, I agree with ZRB. Total annhilation is sure to follow.

But of course, I have Hakeem on my fantasy team, and a night like that would get me 111 points from him. Sure beats the 20 he's been averaging.

Does this mean I have to put up with ZRB and his premature ejaculation of calling the Rockets "a disaster" before the game is over?

Well, maybe you should try reading some of my positive posts! Try the "tough stretch" thread. I'm prediction us to go 9-3 in the hardest part of the schedule. Pretty damn positive, wouldn't you say?

Old School -- when you posted that, I was laughing because I thought you took a real story of the 24-block game and altered it for comic purposes. Went to CNNSI.com and sure enough, that is the story. Can't believe Jamison ripped Hakeem like that.

Hakeem's a warrior. We're gonna get torn up by HIM and Carter probably. But other than that, we just need to make sure they don't have a third big scorer. Hakeem will toy with Kelvin. Not only is Kelvin just getting into the groove of playing solid minutes, but Hakeem has trained with Cato. Hakeem has experience. Hakeem blocked 9 shots. Let's hope he doesn't do that to us. With all due respect, our inside is much quicker than the Warrirors' (Fortson, Dampier, Jackson). But still we have to try to neutralize him.

Our best bet is Francis and Mobley going for career-games, and one of our inside players getting 12 points.

Here's to Hakeem destroying us, and the Rockets winning.

The last thing I want is for Hakeem to go off on us. If you think we don't get any respect now, and people are ripping our frontcourt, what do you think is going to happen after that? Even if the Rocks win all you're going to hear is that the Rockets are a far worse team up front without Dream, the worst mistake the Rockets made was giving up Dream, Willis is a old and broken down after Hakeem went off on him, etc., etc.

I hope that someone on the Rockets knocks Hakeem to the floor and that Hakeem looks like the old man he is. The moment that Hakeem quit on the Rockets, he lost any credibility he once had.

Honestly, I kinda hope he doesn't play, 'cause I don't wanna struggle with the debate over whether to boo him or not.

And that's saying a lot, 'cause like some of you other guys he's on MY fantasy team too! But still, I'm hoping he contracts a stomach virus or something and doesn't play.

It's not your between game posts that are the problem, it's your posting that the Rockets game was a "disaster" before the game was over. This is something that you have done so many times (then promised never to do again) that causes me to brand you a loser. You're like an addict that promises (when sober) to stop using...after while, the rhetoric gets tiring.

i want to see hafraud imgladyourgone get dominated.

seriously. the rockets, in order to gain respect, have to dominate hakeem. it would be all too embarassing to let that 58 year old dinosaur come in here and drop 35 on us. are you serious???

our frontcourt needs all the confidence it can get! dominating hakeem would be like the student finally beating the teacher. it would be a serious boost to our confidence up front.

last, i want the rockets to stomp the hell out of the raptors. they are a legitimate eastern conference team. beating the raptors into extinction would be one more shout out to the nba that damnit we are fo' real!

if there is one player i do want to see have a good game on the raptors, it's vince carter. vinsanity baby!!!

vince having his usual dominique wilkins pt II human highlight film-eque game is sure to inspire stevie franchise to being a bigger hog!

    go vince go.
    no fraud no.

Can we make that 10 blocks so he can have a triple-double?

No problem, they do not play until Jan. 16. Does anyone seriously think Hakeem will not be on the IR before that?

I'll cheer the Dream during the starting lineups and maybe at the end of the game, but I'll cheer louder for my Rockets. I hope we win by ten with Dream going for 25 pts and vince getting lit up by Cat and going 7 for 22. That would be great for Cuttino. It would be cool though if Steve got blocked by Dream only to have a monster jam on him in the end of the game. I loved last year when the next day in the paper they showed that pic of Cat and vince in each other's face.

I really hope we show some class concerning The Dream and vice versa. Couldn't care less about vince though.

That game's on my birthday so I'll be there for sure. :D
