SF3 will be an allstar if he gets a ring with Yao and TMac.

    think your all wrong.

if we trade sura, alston, and head for a good front court player he will get plenty of playing time.

    Pg Francis
    Sg Tmac
    Sf Battier
    Pf Scola
    C Yao

    bench:

if we dont trade anyone the best options would be
    pg mike james, brooks
    sg head
    sf bonzi
    pf hayes

that right there is a 10 man rotation. if you can get a decent pf/c with the above trade i guess you do it. and you have a great great team. you have so much more scoring then last year its ridiculous.

Very difficult to be an All Star again, but if he can win some championships with 111, maybe hes a member of Hall of Fame. :D :D :D

because Chinese fans will vote for Kobe, Nash and TMac before they do for Stevie.

I think that he will be. The fans vote for the all-star starters, and the Chinese fans foved Steve. I dont know if he will deserve it or not, but i would bet that we have 3 all stars next year, IF Steve is starting.

Has any team ever had 3 all-star starters?

If his name is on the ballot...the fans overseas will make sure he will be an all-star.

It could be like when Detroit had R. Wallace, Rip Hamilton, and C. Billups.

Yeah, but they didnt all start. The only way that all three Rockets make it is if they are voted into the starting lineup by the fans. The fans dont choose the whole team, just the starters.

I think Francis will be our version of Barbosa. I don't think he will come off the bench, but he can still impact the game the same way since limiting Tmac's minutes will be crucial to our post season success. SF3 (and Mie James) will be more than happy to keep the offense rolling, plus he'd probably be our best rebounder on the court.

I would like to see him more as our version of mike bibby...but thats best case scenario. God i can't wait for the next trade.

Does the all-star coach still get to pick the reserves? I can't imagine Adelman leaving Francis off if he's having a good year. Remember when Del Harris put NICK VAN EXEL on the all-star squad?

^the above scenario depends on the rocks having the best record by the all-star break, of course

Steve probably won't average more then 15/5/5 a game, but that's awesome. We don't need more then that from his position. With T-mac putting in close to 20, and Yao putting in 22+, that right there is a lot of fire-power. Because now we have a bench that can produce as well. Imagine how much life will be easier on guys like Head, Battier, Wells, and so forth now that defenses will be streched out to the maximum. And with the addition of Luis, we may see something we haven't seen in a very long time.

The Rockets may average 100+ points a game.

Still, if we play Sacramento style, expect everyone's scoring to take a bit of a dip....but all in all, it should be more fun. I still don't think we'll be a running fast-breaking team.

    But who cares?

I actually think Francis is pretty comfortable with being a role player at this point, I know that it is tough to accept but I think he can do it. That's what he was in New York, since Isiah had a "play the hot hand" strategy and a musical chairs rotation. Second, it's a fact that injuries have taken their toll and he can't do what he used to do for 40 mpg - remember he played fearless and Wade/Iverson-like early on and took a lot of punishment as a result.

Now it didn't happen that often, but there were nights when the Knicks needed Francis last year, and he was able to hit the wayback machine and delviver one of his vintage 20-6-6 type performances. It did not happen often, and he didn't go careening into the lane with reckless abandon in quite the same way, and was far more likely to deliver a layup than a windmill throwdown, but it was still the same species of animal, more or less, on some nights when the Knicks needed it.

I hope that's what he brings to the Rockets. On nights when Tracy is on and driving, and/or James is draining them from outside, then he can just play spot duty. But on nights when Tracy is cold, and or James can't buy a bucket, I hope that he can dig deep and be that guy that he used to be just enough that we need.
