Everyone knows the Rockets have to make another move(s). And several players will have to be moved or released (way too many players). But what type of impact are ya'll expecting from the subsequent player movements? Improved playing Rotation. Improved end of the Bench group. More draft picks. Salary cap releif. None - if players are released.
Our trade pieces, Head, Alston, Snyder, Novak, and Lucas, are good enough to net us another rotation guy who can grow with the Rockets and won't be a rental like Bonzi and Francis. I'd be disappointed if we just trade them for salary cap relief.
haslem is a young premier player in the league. rockets haven't re-signed deke. reality is we get doleac instead of haslem if they look in miami's direction.
My greatest hope is on August 14th, The Rockets trade Rafer Alston and Justin Reed for Jeff Foster. Our team would be deep and complete at every position. Find ways to dump salary. That's all that's left. Maybe some GM will be dumb enough to give a pick for Bonzi. Anyone know Kevin McHale's number?
Four trades to go--- 1st will be a player from the Pacific Coast, obtained in a three way trade with an Eastern conference club three players go out one comes in.[incl Sura] in July 2nd will be a straight up swap for a futute draft pick one goes out, zero comes in.in August...... not positive though! 3rd same as 2nd. 4th a player gets cut. 19 players Five out and one in= 15 or something simillar....
My first post. Wooo hooo! The poll should include a combination of all of the above...because I think Morey will be making several moves to accomplish many things....most likely trading one of the guards and getting us another power forward. Love the Jeff Foster idea---but what's his contract like? I really hope Deke is signed up soon we're fortified at all positions. I was worried when I heard about the whole "money ball" pedigree, but if this is what money ball is like...then I love money ball. I was already on the moon when I heard about the Scola deal...but to add Francis for peanuts....just really made my day.

Hayes is a more than acceptable PF backup. Luther and Bonzi are a big question mark in my mind. I think we need a combo gaurd. Either way it is great to be talking about filling second string instead of first.
Chuck Hayes said that Hayes coming to an agreement with the Rockets shouldn't be a problem.....but that was a few weeks ago.
