Well I agree that Rafer is the best pure point guard that we have on the roster, it's highly unlikely that we can have a backup PG taking up that much of the cap, be it either MJ or Rafer, so one has to go, it's not going to be MJ, so it's gotta be Rafer. I checked out RealGM and tried to trade Rafer and Justin Reed for Udonis Haslem, and it works out. Only think is JR can't be traded until August 14th, after which point he can be traded. So here's hoping that PF becomes our strong point next year. I think Udonis and Scola would be fantastic at the 4!
We'll see... unlikely though it is for a team to trade for a player, make a big deal out of it at the press conference, and then ditch him again in the SAME OFF SEASON, if a team comes with a GREAT offer for James-- an overall better offer than ones he drums up for Rafer, I wouldn't put it pass Morey to screw MJ. It would be kinda sad... but kinda funny, too (well, maybe not funny to MJ... he'd be pissed).
NO, we need him... JAMES AND FRANCIS WONT PASS THE ****ING BALL, they are better coming off the bench
Yao Ming should call and demand that they keep Rafer. I know it's not his personality, but most superstar big men would. James and Francis are more talented, but neither can make an entry pass. Rafer was good for Yao. It's worth keeping him on the roster for that reason alone.
I'd rather have Rafer as PG off the bench, Steve as our SG off the bench and Bonzi our SF off the bench...
Thanks Rafer, I wasn't your biggest fan, but I thought you were servicable and at least worth your contract, now, my boyfriend's back and you'r gonna be in trouble hey nooooowww, hey noooowwww, my boyfriend's back
Can anyone post the pic of Rafer after the playoffs attending some kind of event at the TC wearing the Black T-shirt saying "I'll Be back Next Year"?
ahh, what does Rafer know. If I were the Rockets right now, I'd just trade our scrubs for draft picks and stand pat...unless you could get a PF/SF/Center to make it worth your while.
dang it. francis only signed a 1 year year with a 2nd year players option. he aint gon stay here forever. he aint cheap either, 6 mil for a year. and rafer is a better pg than steve. mike james is old too, he is gon be gon soon. aaron brooks aint gon be a starter material for a few years. i would rather have steve play as a sg than pg. and have rafer start, james the 6th man. brooks on the bench. at least wait til next year after steve's deal is up. trade head before rafter !!! trade novak and head and sura for a PF. cut reed. don't sign deke. make him a coach.
ahh, interesting... i'd rather have alston playing with yao, though. but bonzi at sf wouldn't be bad at all.
Are you concerned about Chuck Hayes chances of being resigned? If Alston is sent to Indiana in a deal for Jeff Foster or Ike Diogu, doesn't it seem less likely they'll resign Hayes? I'm sure Hayes will land alright, but I'm kind of concerned about this. I'd love to have Hayes back, but at the same time, if I had to choose out of him and Jeff Foster I'd probably go with Jeff Foster for the size advantage alone.
We'll probably keep Head. Every team needs a three point specialist I'm thinking Morey might trade Alston + Hayes for a PF
Besides breaking his leg he was hardly ever injured even after playing huge minutes everynight. Who do we have we can say the same thing about who has his passing skills?
