Hey, all. My band, orange is in, is releasing our second CD, Come and Take It, this Saturday. We'll be appearing on the Fox 26 morning show and on KPFT 90.1 FM Friday to promote it (Fox from 7-9am, KPFT from 2-3pm). You can listen to the KPFT show live on the web.

The show Saturday is at Rudyard's with local favorites Arthur Yoria and Tody Castillo. Should be a fun show. Starts at 10pm. Cover is $8.

I know that the music will probably not appeal to everyone on here. It's a pretty diverse mix on this BBS. If you like it, enjoy. If not, nothing to see here. :)

I just listened to some of your songs on your myspace. Dead Weight sounds pretty good. I really like the fiddle in the back.

Good job to you guys and good luck on your music careers.

Congratulations on your CD. Since I'll be in Houston I will try to catch your TV appearance.

Someday for my band we will get our acts together and get a CD out....

    Jeff,

For us out of towners, any possibility of recording it and getting it up on Youtube?

Probably. MyFoxHouston actually has a MySpace page where they put up some of their videos. I think we'll end up getting this without much problem.

Are they still cutting to the band every hour? I think the last time they just let the guy play his song at the very end of the broadcast of the morning news. They did give him enough time to play the entire song though and pimped his CD/shows pretty good.

Great, because I came out to see you in Austin, but missed you guys by a mere hour, I think I even walked past you as you were loading up the truck/van at the bottom of the stairs.

We have two 20-second bumper spots (going to commercial) and one spot of 2:30 going out of the broadcast. Last time, we got cut short because of a car chase. Ugh.

At Momo's??? Man, that was a while back. We had a gig booked in Austin for early August at Trophy Club (in Austin, it's kind of a biker bar - go figure), but had to cancel because of some other stuff.

We'd like to get back up there, but it's freaking impossible to book gigs because you have to spend all your time chasing down people that book clubs or you have to know bands up there that will add you to shows. We know a few, but they're stingy with gigs, unfortunately.

Is Momos the roof top bar above Katz deli? That is where it was....

I don't go to bars much, but that is where my wife and I went to meet you and listen to your band.

We stayed a while but the bands that followed you were not real good.

Also, if you want to book into Austin, do you use any brokers?

A good friend of mine and his wife run Emerald entertainment in Austin and book acts all around town, they are actually in a band themselves as well called "Third Language". I would be happy to do an introduction, if you like.

Their website which is not as good as the ones you and Clutch do...but their biz is really successful.
