I'm 100% for bringing Francis back and getting rid of Alston.

Adelman laughed when he heard Francis b/c he would resign if we signed him.

How in the world can so many fans actually be contented with James and Alston and a 3rd string rookie as being the point guard rotation? I absolutely am shocked to the core by these views. There is absolutely no way in hell the Rockets will win a championship unless they upgrade the point guard position.

And everyone that thinks Francis wouldn't do that, well man I don't even know what is going on here.

One thing is for sure, they didn't lose any quality at PG by dumping your god Spanoulis.

I am a fan of the Rockets, not the players per se. That means I want the best possible team assembled. IMO Spanoulis was better than Snyder, Head, Lucas, and Alston, therefore I wanted him over those players. I was perfectly happy with the way the trade worked out.

It's the same with Francis, I want him because he's much better than James or Alston and because Brooks is a rookie and frankly Alston just won't cut it if the team wants a championship.

So EXCUSE ME for being a Rockets fan and offending you.

Offending me? Nothing of the sort. I simply find your posts amusing and easy to dissect, since you make so many basic errors in your faulty analysis. Don't give yourself so much credit.

Trying to wrap yourself in the flag of Rockets fandom doesn't work; you've gone way to far down the Spanoulis train to pull that off.

The last time I checked you didn't decide for other people what they can post about or what their motivation for it is, or why they feel a certain way about the team or a player. You can debate it, disagree with it, argue it, but you cannot tell someone else to stuff it and constantly imply that this person is some lunatic nut case because their opinion is one you dislike.

This forum needs mature discussion. I will no longer respond to you unless you bring just that.

Mature discussion? If this were a debate, usually agreed by everyone as the most "mature" discussion format, I have creamed you repeatedly because I have debunked and rebutted all of your points and you haven't been able to come up with anything to counter.

You have the right to post what you want, and I have the right to call you on the stuff where you're clearly full of crap. Using the "I am a Rockets fan" defense is one such example. What if I said that since the Rockets are better off with Yao getting 50 shots a game, so since I'm a Rockets fan it's reasonable for me to ask this of the Rockets? You'd justifiably call me a YOF. The same applies to what you're saying.

If you don't respond to me... you lose the debate by default. If you want to simply forfeit, that's fine with me. I won't stop calling you out on your BS.

how you think Francis screams "championship pg" is beyond me. he had only one playoff appearance in his 4 yrs with us, then has been cast away from the rockets, the magic, and the knicks and those teams have all gotten better with his departure. i am completely content with Mike James and i believe Aaron brooks can develop into something special. Rafer on the other hand has to go sooner or later.

He had no backup besides Cuttino and later on Yao. How do you expect to make the playoffs with Kelvin Cato, Mo Taylor, Moochie, etc.?

Magic BARELY made the playoffs last season and got swept. Knicks continually miss the playoffs. Both teams suck with or without Francis.

I have no doubt Brooks can be something special but we don't have time to develop. T-Mac's time, more specifically his back, is wearing down. We bring in Francis because we are in "Win Now" mode.

Francis to me is a big question mark. He's still talented, to be sure, but he looks like an extremely bad fit for the type of offense Adelman wants to set up. Can he truly be a great role player?

Either way, I think Francis is like Bonzi Wells last year. If he takes the LLE, then he's another low-cost-high-potential player for us. I wouldn't have too much hope for him, but this team is quite desperate for talent.

It's possible it's just either the Clippers's MLE or Rocket's LLE.

ever notice how big men get better once Francis is gone? Yao got better. Dwight got better. Curry played better when Francis wasnt on the court and will only further improve. I sure as hell dont think Dwight or Curry are missing Francis. hell I don't think ANYONE misses Francis or actually likes playing with him. the only people rooting for him are Houston homers.

Most players in the NBA get better during their first few years.

What we fail to recognize is that "Dribblemaina" was actually winning basketball back in Rudy's days because by having Steve dribble the ball for 20 seconds every possession, it minimizes the amount of time that Mo Taylor, Kelvin Cato and other scrubs on the team has to do something truly stupid with the ball. By making Mo and Cato watch Steve dribble, it also saves the little energy these lazy bums had for defense.

If we get SF back, I'd see if we could trade MJ. We don't need two dribble the air out of the ball till the clock runs down then put up a shot a last second pg's. Is there a waiting period to trade someone you just traded for?
