Denver lost Blake, signed Atkins. Net loss IMHO.
Bucks re-signed Mo. Net loss for Heat IMHO.

JJack, Knight, Navarro (?) best available?

Or, does that make Rafe worthy of being overpaid for by Nugs or Heat? What does this make his trade value today?

    Morey: http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/sports/bk/bkn/4967808.html
"We're trying to find John (Lucas III) a home," Morey said. "He has a lot of interest around the league..." What is Lil Luke's trade value today?

Would RA + Head = Haslim; with Haslim + Snyder + Sura = Thomas + Daniels + Navarro be net value for Rox/Wiz/Heat? I'd think so, but the Thread's question essentially is how do these Point moves shake out for Rafer (and Lucas') value(s)? I (think I) want Navarro and this seems a way to do it???

kinda find it odd you start off with denver in the equation but in the trade theres no involvement from denver? id still like to see if we can pry camby from denver even tho we have scola now. rafer + lucas + future 2nd for camby sounds decent

Blake and Mo Williams getting signed increases Rafer's value. Admittedly, his value was next to nothing yesterday. After the signings, there are still teams out there looking for a capable point. Miami, Cleveland and the Lakers are all without adequate points. As we all know, Rafer isn't the answer at point for us, nor anyone else, but he's a decent stop gap until something better comes along.

Sura would have to be added, and that would be wonderful. Very wonderful.

But, the question(s) remain(s) simple - what is a Rafer worth (or a Luke) and what type player is still being sought for the Toy Shop? (I'd love a good combo guard and to p/u Wiz' salary issues for AD and JCN seems wonderful, too.

I don't see either Denver or Maimi trading for Rafer only to leave an even bigger hole to fill. Camby and Haslim are vital pieces to those teams.

Rafer is a role player. We can expect equal value, a promising hopeful or an old dog with ticks.

jesus, do I have to spell it out for you people?????

    (Moochie)2 + Snyder + Bonzi^Spanoulis + tan (Boykins + Griffin) +cos(Pippen) = Wang^Sura + Odom(Camby) + Popeye Jones + (Haryaz) sin (Kwame - Artest) +Wilks(Cato)

Jeesh...I can't believe you left off the " + SQR(Charles Jones)" from the right half of that equation. Beginner's mistake!

Trading Rafer Alston seems a real possibility here... Rafer, JLIII, Sura could go. Could we net Udonis? Dunno... Haslem would be a MAJOR boost in case Luis doesn't pan out.

Rafer will not be traded  . Not till Brooks proves himself NBA ready.
Rightnow between Rafter and MJ who will start is still a 50-50.
If we trade Rafer and MJ goes down, physically or mentally, we are fked.
Cut Sura and JL3, keep 3 and half PG including Head. Not too excessive.

Believe me ... he will! :D

By the way, I don 't think Rafer is going anywhere ... the only guys that could be traded are JL III, Head, and Sura 's contract! Package those guys and maby we could still add one decent player ...

I'd be content with getting Najera's expiring or J-Will's expiring.
