Reminds me of the last couple of games where AB (and the whole team) sleepwalked through the first half. Last see if there's another third quarter explosion.
Butler's last two plays looked pretty good. Aside from that, he's big, slow, and lazy. Slow and lazy enough to get beat (Hawes quickly abused him on three straight shots just as Butler entered), but big enough to make things tough. If he gets into better shape and plays a bit more dedicated, he will be a very solid rotation player. Brooks' two threes were brilliant. The first one, it looked like he pulled a hamstring, but he settled himself, tried to penetrate but was noticeably slow, passed out, received a pass 3.5 feet behind the left elbow and nailed it. The second three, he got the ball off the inbounds trapped in the right corner with only three seconds on the shot clock, looked left, gave a quick fake, and drained the pull-up three. Aside from that, he's been pretty quiet... though he did have one amazing lay-up taken away (fouled before the play, no continuation).
If you look at the boxscore there are alot more players with 3+ shots in the 1st half. I think they are running plays for other guys to try and see what they have. I wouldnt be surprised if Brooks is getting tired though. He has been playing alot of minutes every day.
Wiz offense fell apart. Mike Harris got on the floor. Newley started pressuring McGuire on the defensive end. This game the SL "scrubs" are on the floor.
lol I wish we had that announcer from the other day for that play... SLAAAAM DUUNNKK!!! Aarooonn BROOOOKS
