DW Duck does it again, he is a dribbling, shooting, passing badass

hopefully darkwing can crack that rotation this year.

I really wish he had a better team around him like a Hayes down low so we can see how many assists he can truly pick up.

Also give credit to Elson Turner, he showed his worth.. The Rockets came out after half with a totally different mindset and plan.. Great adjustment~ good job coach

BTW what team did tom tibidou(sp) go to? wasn't it washington? Washington had some nice defense today before we adjusted

he went to washington but it didn't work out so they parted ways. i don't expect him to be unemployed long though.

No offense to Q but if Harris can improve his 3 pt shooting, I think he's better than Q. No stretch at all.

Isn't Landry playing Center for us? That's not even his projected position. Yeah you're right he's going against 7 footers and the other team's bigs. I think he's doing a good job holding his own so far. By the way regarding Landry and his other college stats..here they are. http://www.draftexpress.com/viewprofile.php?p=461&page=stats

Yo BEX...I agree with everything you're sayin man. It seems like you and I are the only guys who've got Landry's back on this whole message board in every thread. People be patient. In another thread someone pointed out that to begin with, everybody is gonna be doublin Yao...so Landry will be wide open a lot of the time. The key to this pick was to get a quality, multi-faceted PF that can play well with Yao and we got that now.

So far in the summer league, I have been impressed by only 2 players.

Aaron Brooks - looks great against summer league competition

Mike Harris - Love his athleticism and attitude, reminds me of a young Mario Elie

The rest of the team I have been less than thrilled with:

Novak: Looks less athletic this year and his shot has been off.

Landry: Smart player but I have not seen any of the athleticism that he supposedly posseses, I was hoping to see a quick leaper, he does not appear to be quick at all, just smart.

None of the other players even remotely look like NBA players, IMO. Maybe in the future, but not now.

With Rick Adelman wanting to spread the floor, you can be assured Landry will get some clock. His mid-range jumper is money, plus he can attack the basket and hit his free throws.
There is a lot of fouling and hacking going on these summer league games that just don't play to the strengths of most big men.

I have to agree with you on the assessment that he hasn't shown the athleticism and scoring ability yet...but trust me, it's there. I've been watchin Carl play for awhile. He just needs to be more aggressive. And he did get an oop from Brooks in the first summer league game.

I did see the oop, but I am looking for more on the glass from Landry, he is getting muscled out big time on the glass, whereas someone like Harris who is much shorter is a beast in there fighting for the ball.

That is what Landry needs to be doing IMO.

Well this is what I expect out of Brooks and Landry. Brooks signed and Landry signed. Both with a Roster Spot on the Bench. Neither will play significant minutes in year one. Maybe towards the end of the season or if there is a major injury. Landry will most likely be buried on the bench like most rookies. He'll get some garbage minutes but that's about it. Sheldon Williams rookie year didn't get him many minutes either but that's how it is for rookies. Head got lucky in that there were injuries that allowed him major minutes..otherwise he'd have been buried on the bench too. Brooks will come along a lot like TJ Ford. He'll get some minutes but I don't expect more than about 10 mpg..if that. Same for Landry...if he gets any minutes at all. Novak is gonna get assigned to the NBDL or he'll be buried on the bench unless he rapidly shows some improvement in this summer league. Harris, he's signed and a PF. He could get some minutes too but he's short at 6'6" which if I"m not mistaken is the same size as Bonzi Wells. But Harris's athleticism could get him some playing time at SF/PF in a relief rold. But again, not more than 10 min max.

Wrong! Brooks is going to log minutes and be a rotation guy.

Hell, Brooks might win MVP if he keeps this up.

Ok I'll give ya that one. Landry definately needs to step it up in Summer Leagues though. Wish they'd play Antanas Kavalauskas at Center just to see how Landry would be at the 4.

Steve Novak makes me sick. Not only can he not make an open jump shot consistently but he brings nothing else to the table. No D (Pecherov killed him), no quickness, and a real derth of actual moves (besides that damn step through/pump fake that never works).

... and to think, I was a fan of this pick last year. ugh.
