I went to Taco Bell today at Scott St right by UofH and got 2 chalupas (still the best fast food item in the world) and 2 crunchy tacos. Anyways upon finishing them 10 minutes later I had to go straight home and schatt..well you know what. I only had slice of peanut butter sandwich today for breakfast so that can't be it. Does food really take that fast to digest and come out so quickly or is it only when it's disgusting food? Damn I'm never going to that taco bell again. I'll hit up Sonic next time.
Are you being serious? Don't you know Taco Bell gives you the runs like none other. As well as most other fast food i.e Mcdonalds, Sonic, Jack off inda Box etc etc.
There is no way it comes put that fast. Not possible. I have heard it takes food up to 18 hours to digest. I am guessing it is pushing stuff out from almost a day ago.
I haven't really been eating for the last 2-3 days.. I've been doing nothing but work and sleep. I just go home, eat some bread, fruits, or whatever I have.. some juice.. make poopy time and then sleep. I didn't eat much, but what I ate was good healthy stuff. But today I had taco bell and after I ate.. my stomach didn't feel right. So could I sue them for food poisoning? Or maybe the fact that I've been handling some cash and didn't wash my hand before getting food all over it and licking them off my fingers had something to do with it..? 12-18 hours sounds way too long.
After putting the yummy stuff into your mouth, it (the bolus) then has to travel through the entire gastrointestinal tract before coming out the other end. The gastrointestinal tract for the purposes of this exercise includes the oral cavity, the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, and colon. Food travels down the esophagus at a rate of approximately 3 to 4 centimeters per second (1 to 2 inches), and the entire process takes about 5 to 6 seconds. In the stomach, food tends to hang around for a little longer and this depends on a variety of factors including the amount of food you have consumed, how much fat it contains, and also the acidity of the stomach. However, all food should have left the stomach within 2 to 4 hours. In the small intestine, digestion continues and absorption occurs. From here on, the time to defecation will vary depending on the time it takes to adequately digest and absorb in the small intestine. This will usually take 5 to 6 hours. The "food then enters the colon for further digestion and water reabsorption before defecation. The time from it’s entering the colon to defecation is about 12 to 24 hours. Thus, the time for food to travel from one end to the other probably ranges from about 20 to 30 hours.
It's strange how some foods can mess up the chemistry in your stomach and almost immediately give you the runs. If I eat too much lettuce, it cleans my system out for me.
It's a reflex where your body knows more food is on the way and has to make room for the new incoming food.
From a professor of mine: Meats 6-12 hours Vegatables 12-24 hours So, yes, the Taco Bell could be giving you fits.
Tell me about it. I just downed a Cookie Dough Blast from Sonic (damn those commercials). I know damn well my lactose intolerant ass is going to regret it in the morning. I can relate to the first post. I think what happens when you eat something your body doesn't like your body forces out the other crap as quick as possible because it needs to use all of it's resources to prepare the the crap you just ate. That's my theory and I'm sticking to it.
You know what.. the first weekend before Spring Break (for those of you who still go to school), around first week of March, I went to college station and went to this phenomenal steakhouse which was about 50 miles from nowhere. I had a 3 lb steak and boy was I hungry like a dog. It took me about an hour to finish it all and I swore I thought I was gonna die. Anyways, I ended up not going to the bathroom for 3 days after. Weird.
Just eat a jalapeno with a meal. Next time you take a dump and it burns that mean is on it's way out. Interesting note: I went out for a late night of boozing and had some Jalapeno Poppers from Jack in the Box at around 2:30 am. Next morning after my morning coffee I had a terribly painful crap at around 8:30 am. Now that's some fast digestion.
