    Man,

The Bulls are seriously bummed about us getting Scola. At the time of posting our thread here is 30 pages long, while the thread about this in the bulls realgm forum is 26 pages long itself. Looks like they were offering Duhon/expirings, but couldn't give the Spurs IMMEDIATE cap relief like we did.

Guess realgm is banned here too. You can go to the site yourself if interested.

    Awesome trade and good riddance.........

I think i'll make it a point to fly out for a Rockets/Spurs game in the event he actually ever plays in the NBA again just so I can boo his a$$.

Us not signing Rashard was a blessing in disguise.

Not well versed in Euro players but from everything everyone's said it sounds like we made out like bandits in this deal!

I have never seen Scola play one second of basketball.

I am so excited about this move, nonetheless. Good stuff.

Man It seems like so many people are extremely excited about this. I bet most of us haven't seen Scola play at all. None the less VSPAN IS GONE!!!

If you could convince they guy to play for the rockets. I guess there is a chance he will want to come and be the starting pf for rockets, there is no chance he will start over TD on the spurs.

Wow 30 pages! This must be a record.

Anyway happy trails V-Span. Its too bad we won't get to see what you could've done as a Rocket this season.

C'mon Sishir. The 1st summer league game thread just a few days ago was 32 pages! But I'm sure this one will go a little past that...

I think this is a deal that helps both teams for different reasons. First let me say that spanoullis will never play for the spurs. the money that the rockets included in the deal is probably either to pay his contract or buy him out. i believe the spurs wanted to create a roster spot or two this offseason. the deal certainly helps the rockets because ,unlike van gundy, adelman will find a way to incoprorate scola's talents into their offense. butler is someone who has soured the spurs top brass for whatever reason but all i hear about the guy is that he has lots of potential... i have learned to trust our front office because they have earned ALOT of leeway..

yeah right. Face it Georgie: Your team wanted Scola over Oberta. It didn't happen, so you settled for making a cap-clearing deal for him, and like idiots, you did it with the Rockets. bad move.

Yeah, your mgmt has earned ALOT of leeway, but just handing Scola over to Houston is a mistake that could haunt you soon. I would have let Scola sign with Spain and released Butler rather than give Yao and TMac a chance with him.
