Check it out... http://www.joblo.com/moviehotties/index.php?id=1918 I emailed the guy who runs their MovieHotties.com blog when I saw some Mary Winstead pictures on there. So, he posted mine. Pretty cool.
dude, your work is showing up in WIKIPEDIA... GOOD JOB JEFF http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mary_Elizabeth_Winstead
Man....she totally looks photochopped. J/K........great job. I'm jealous; my camera spends more time gathering dust. I'm still more impressed with your foggy night shot on the Rice campus (I think I have that right.......but I definitely remember the shot). One in a billion.
Great! That fog one was cool. My personal favorite was the carnival shot from inside the Dome. Way to go Jeff!
Yeah, they asked to use that. They also use my Zoe Bell shot and one of my Rose McGowan shots on both of those Wikipedia entries.
Actually, I was worried about it being overexposed with the Flash. You had to take those shots REALLY fast as they stopped and gave you the 3-4 second stare. I love the fog shot. I wonder if that book with it on the cover is out on shelves yet? Thanks, oomp. The carnival shot ("Candyland") is actually hanging in the City Hall Annex right now as part of the City of Houston Art on Loan show. Mine was one of 100 photos and paintings chosen to hang there until next spring. My girlfriend has one in the same show. Apparently, there were close to 1000 submissions.
Yeah, because paparazzi living in Houston make so much more money than those in NYC or LA. In my case, I was more like a press photographer. I was right across from the local media. My guess is this will have been my first and last encounter with the celebrity world.
Speaking of money, did they give you a decent price? Or did some websites just take it and ask for your permission?
It was just for credit. None of these places pays. Magazines and things like that pay, but I'm not a professional. When I've made money off my photos, it has been either for actually doing a job (working second on a wedding, for example) or for use of one of my photos for something specific like a book cover.
cool jeff. i'm gonna hijack your thread a little and post my latest piece. not enough art on this forum. cheers.
