From a rebounding standpoint, you just can't ask much more from a guard. 6 rebounds from a guard is really unheard of.

    Tmac+Battier+Bonzi+MJ+SF3 as SF+SG+PG, that'll be great!

    Francis-Alston-Brooks
    T-mac-James-Head
    Battier-Bonzi-Harris
    Hayes-Novac-Landry
    Yao-Deke

This leaves one roster spot for another bruiser (hopefully). Etan Thomas, anyone? He has a huge contract but I think Sura-V-span-JL3 will match if the Wiz are looking to dump salary.

THe guys that need minutes are tmac, battier, and Bonzi. Any PF they bring in probably wont get a lot of time because they need their best players on the court for the longest period of time. Those 3 will prolly get 30+ minutes, not leaving as big of a whole at PF. THat being said, they should still deal alston and stuff for a PF who can play a few minutes

Well we need one guy at least that can rebound like there's no tomorrow. Yao and Hayes alone won't cut it. It maybe true that it's a guards game now but ya still gonna need to get those boards. If you don't get the boards, ya lose the game.

The LLE, Rockets. Good value for the money, and we need all the depth we can get. Steve can go elsewhere if he wants the full MLE.

I won't get the NBA package this year if the Rockets sign Francis. All the talent in the world doesn't do any good if you don't know how to use it.

That's where coaching comes in. Adelman can focus anybody's talent into a weapon of mass efficiency. Note Artest and Bonzi had a great year with him in '05-'06.

Moves that make sense let's hope. Backups can be projects that take time and nurturing to develop, but starters - particularly starting PF that we need - should NOT be a project.

If Steve is not going to Clipper, we better sign him. We should do whatever to prevent him become a Mavericks...!

Everyone's making bones about picking Francis up like it's do or die for our roster. If you can get more talent ya get it. It's not like the Phoenix Suns needed another guard for crying out loud. They already had Nash, Barbosa, Raja Bell, Boris Diaw and they went out and got Grant Hill.

OMG..when I look at that roster that the Suns have over there it makes my head spin. You want to contend for the championship? You go get the best talent you can get and fit the pieces together. Francis for cheap? OMG Just do it! Go get yourself a Big Power Forward too.

The depth of the Phoenix Suns and Spurs just makes me sick. They can sustain an injury and plug in a backup and still be a major playoff team. That's what we need to become. If ya wanna be the Champion, it's teams like these two that ya gotta beat. We need more talent at every position. Go as deep as ya can. Have players that you can plug in and make an impact in the event of an injury.

Us getting Francis is no different from the Suns getting Grant Hill. They didn't need him but they got him anyways.

Steve Francis back as a Rocket, i know some of you guys will agree that's a plus. We have seen his potential in the past and i do agree that his stats started going down throughout the years, but all this occur after he left the Rockets. Think about our starting line up Francis or him coming off the bench, that's .

i know there are issues about his character, and that will always be a question mark, as well as his health. Let's hope for the best. Most of these guys are now wanting to get a title. i'm hoping he is old enough and mature enough to accept the roles that he will be given or assigned to. He is a better fit for the new style that we will be playing for the new coach.

Houston Rockets is a business and like any business out there they want to make money. We don't see enough fans on our games, i pretty sure adding another exciting player to the team will sure put people on those seats. i know i'll be watching more games.

Why? It would be a big bonus to the scoring averages of our guys

Even though Rafer is not a good 3 point shooter, the 3s he shoots are wide open the majority of the time. Watching Francis dribble the ball for 17 seconds and try to jack a 3 over a 6 foot 6 guard with a hand in his face really started getting to me after a few years.

They are wide open because players purposely leave him open. They know just like the rest of us that he CAN'T shoot  , therefore he is a weakness and he gets exposed.

New York and Portland basically paid Steve Francis to go away. I know for a fact Adelman doesnt want Francis he will be horrible in an motion offense.
