    Interesting article but what it appears to be saying is that the appendix helps in developing an immune response it doesn't state it is necessary. To me that would indicate the appendix might've once served a necessary function and still helps but is becoming more anachronistic.

    Of course though there is still a lot we don't understand about the human body so we might yet find the appendix is needed more than we think.

    met a guy a long time ago that never grew any wisdome teeth...hes a step ahead of me on the evolutionary chart :(

    I worked with a guy who started getting a third set of teeth in his 30s. Where does he fit in this whole thing?
