Any legit scoop (no speculation please) on what moves might be in the works?

Not interested in speculation here about what you (or a clueless sportswriter) would like to see the Rox do, but does anyone have some legit insight on possible deals in the works? I am getting a little worried that we may be starting next season with materially the same team (a little improved at the 1 and worse at the 4).

Lock this if its being discussed elsewhere.

So long as our GM stays tight-lipped about any movement we might be making, I doubt even Clutch would have much to offer. No offense there, Clutch. ;)

the only thing i've heard with any certainty was that the owner promises a big SPLASH will be made this offseason.

Why do you suppose anyone would hide a scoop from you and then all of a sudden decide to just tell you in this thread? :)

Since we are at it, please use this tread to post any legitimate insider stock tips, please. I don't want any speculative and other wishy-washy stuff. Just real, 100% sure stock tips, like the company is about to be bought out and nobody else knows it, or the company is about to anounce huge and unexpected profits. No posts from clueless stock analysts, please.

I didn't suppose anything, I was just asking to see if anyone had heard any legit (or at least seemingly legit) tidbits lately as it has been radio silence in the forum re: anything of substance. Kind of thought that was one of the purposes of the forum. Forgive me if I was "out-of-line."

Nah. We are going for Tim Duncan. Rumour has it that he is sick of the Spurs and wants to challenge himself by making another Texas team a dynasty. Of course, he wouldn't go to the Mavericks, so there is only one place left :D

well morey has already said that what is happening would happen. so since we couldn't get lucky with rashard or darko it looks like we will pursue joe smith for less than the MLE. morey has stated that he doesn't want to use the full MLE on any players out there. from what has been said it seems like a trade will be preferred over smith/FA accquisition. there really aren't many quality PFs up for trade. the only one possible after darko went to memphis is gooden since varejao will likely be back with the cavs. but paxson has already stated he wants both back so gooden seems somewhat unlikely as well even though it would put them over the luxury tax threshold.

I know you didn't want speculation, so I am trying to do some deductive reasoning based on recent events. morey did a pretty good job with his draft smokescreen so I can't see us getting much out him if there is a surprise trade in the works.

btw....how is joe smith defensively nowadays?

Yep, you're right, you busted me. I just became a Rox fan last year and just discovered this really cool fan site. Thanks for the free education / advice. Helpful.

Leave him alone. He's just saying what we're all thinking anyway. Just be mindful that hardly anything slips between the cracks in this crowd.

Nothing concrete out there. Kinda quiet lately, with news out of Houston. Thats usually when CD did most of his work, so maybe something is brewing.

I was trying to keep tight-lipped about this, but you've forced my hand.

Just after the end of the season, in Europe, Daryl Morey managed to acquire a small amount of the DNA of a certain Hall-of-Famer who played decades ago. I don't wish to reveal his name, but let's just say he is one of a very small group of players to ever score triple-digits in a game.

Work has just been completed on using this DNA- in an altered form to allow for accelerated growth and learning- to create a player who should be able to fill the team's needs at PF until the end of July before dying of old age next summer. I hope I haven't said too much.

Oh, come on, just a little fun. I completely sympathize with you, actually; I'm on this forum way too often when I have better things I should be doing. I didn't want to come off sounding mean, I just wanted to write a little Rox-related sci-fi.
