    Softball coach pleads guilty to lesser charge

    BOISE - A former high school softball coach accused of sexual battery of a minor pleaded guilty to a lesser charge.

    The one time Centennial High School assistant softball coach and substitute teacher Lauren K. Palmer reached a plea agreement with prosecutors.

    During her arraignment today Palmer plead guilty to a lesser charge of sexual contact with a minor.

    In April, the Ada County Sheriff's Office charged Palmer with a felony after a deputy caught her in a car with a 16-year-old girl.

    After questioning Palmer and the girl, the deputy determined inappropriate touching had occurred and arrested her.

    Palmer is scheduled to be sentenced in August.

    Well, the general feeling is usually that man molesting girl is somehow "not as bad" as woman molesting boy. I think man molesting boy is usually considered the worst. Where would this fall on the scale of public opinion. My personal feeling is that they are all equal, but that is not how they are usually talked about. (I have other problems with the whole implementation of statutory rape and the determination of age of consent, but that can be left for another discussion).

    yeah most women coaches at my high school looked like butch lesbians too, short hair, gruff face, deeper voice, always wore windbreakers, I guess its just the trend nowadays. Or maybe they are just tomboys.

    You are right. I meant the opposite. I think I was going to go with worse, but switched to not as bad and didn't reverse the situations.
