    Tonight at 6:30 against Uruguay.

For the people in Houston, there will be some people getting together at the Mezzanine Lounge (59 & Greenbriar) to watch it.

USA won 2-1 in overtime. Uruguay played all out and gave the US problems for most of regulation, South Korea played a similar high tempo game against us with some success also. I don't think they could sustain that pace through the extra time though and we got more into our rhythm and started to pass the ball well.

Altidore left the game in the second half with an injury, I'm not sure how bad it is though.

Now we play Austria on Saturday.

The Chronic article mentioned some shouting and stuff after the game. What was that about?

The Uruguayans tried starting a fight after the game, it was mainly yelling and a bit of pushing, there were coaches and players keeping people separated so no real fighting broke out. The best part was Bradley getting pissed off and as he's being held back signaling 2-1 with his fingers at one of the Uruguayans.

    Scoreboard b****.

Brilliant, but on that breakaway at the end there why didnt he serve it up to the guy wide open on his left?

That was so frustrating, i was angry at szetela for that. It was a fabulous ball by adu.

It was a great ball. Szetela should have let it go or at least made a decision sooner. You have to know that a defender is coming.

I absolutely love the fire in this team.

Bradley is just giving it to them after the game- at around 20 seconds left in the clip he constantly flashed 2-1... 2-1... just to remind Uruguay - haha.

With the first goal for our team, why didn't that goal not count?

It looks like he's tripped while kicking the ball. Shouldn't there have been a penalty or something on that play and the goal not count?

Playing advantage? Sort of like how a pass interference call in the end zone would be declined if the receiver caught the ball anyway. I can only assume there'd have been a penalty called if there hadn't been a goal there...

Advantage was called. Unlike most other sports, in soccer the ref has the discretion to allow a play to continue if calling the foul would actually harm the team that was fouled (such as in that case). PK's are no guarantee and the ball was in the net. No need to call a foul.

Adu Agent set for Hoops Talks

GLASGOW, ENGLAND (TICKER) -- Freddy Adu's agent is expected to speak to representatives of Scottish Premier League champions Celtic next week which might pave the way for the talented American youngster to move to Glasgow.

The 18-year-old Real Salt Lake midfielder, currently starring in the Under-20 World Cup in Canada, could meet Parkhead officials in Denver next Thursday after the Scottish champions jet in for a friendly against a Major League Soccer All-Stars select team.

Adu is not on the roster for the game.

"Celtic are coming out for the MLS All-Stars game next week and I'll be there," Richard Motzkin, Adu's LA-based agent, told the Scottish Sun. "Freddy could be there if the USA get knocked out of the World Cup but for the country's sake I hope that's not the case."

Motzkin stressed that the Celtic talks are not his only reason for attending the event.

"My sole reason for going to the All-Stars game isn't to speak to Celtic - but some might say it would be a good time to talk if both parties are in the same place," he said. "Freddy has always said he wants to go Europe at some stage in his career and any player would have a lot of respect for a club like Celtic."

This is a good move if it happens. I don't think Freddy is quite ready for spotlight of England or Germany. Starting off in Scotland should make the transition easier. I'm sure this has come because of his performance in the U20 WC.

Celtic would be a great choice for him. The worst thing he could do would go ride the bench on a big club like Chelsea or ManU.
