What would your ideal but realistic roster look like as of now?

for trades, i see t-mac, yao, bonzi (trading him would be classless), and james as being off-limits.

move 1: depending on what cleveland would want for gooden, we could offer a rafer package or just shane battier.
move 2: offer luther, novak, vspan and sura's contracts, and a first rounder for artest. battier would possibly be in this deal if cleveland would want rafer instead.

probably just a pipe dream since sacramento would want to send artest to the east. anyone realistically think gooden is obtainable through what we could offer?

Other than Gooden, I hope the Rockets are also looking at Marcus Camby, Troy Murphy, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, and Darko Milicic. I'm not really interested in anyone else at PF who is (A) available and (B) obtainable.

Thanks for the comment, but why would you want Francis over Blake? I would like to have at least one pass-first point guard in the rotation.

4.) Re-sign Deke and Hayes

Trade Alston to Celtics for Gomes+Telfair+Ray

Rockets do need to cut some player but in this proposed 1 for 3 deal they actually save $1.2M in salary exchanged. Ray has a team option that doesn't have to be picked up until August 1st. Telfair is an expiring contract they can cut if they rather not deal with this headcase.

Boston needs an established PG. Telfair started last sesaon but ended as the third option. Telfair got into gun trouble again and they tried ripping up his contract him but his agent challenged the legality of it.

With Ray Allen on the team Gerald Green might find himself playing exclusive minutes at the 3 or at least playing some minutes at the 4 instead of the 2.

Leon Powe is starting to light up and Glen Davis might get it going at the 4.

Ryan Gomes is looking like odd man out or most attractive trading piece for a PG.

We need high IQ ballers with athletic ability. No more point guards unless we're trading everyone under 6'5" except brooks and mike james. I still believe Mike James will not provide what we are looking for. Dude is a cancer stick.

Francis is mid level athletic and low defense/bball IQ. Putting him and rafer together will cause Adleman to quit.

 

SVG and JVG loved Rafer, so let's trade him to Orlando for Kenyon Dooling who has the athletic ability we're looking for in 1/2.
