Snyder has great leap and can really contribute on the defensive end. Because of injuries he did'nt have enough game to showcase his athleticism. i would keep him, if i'm Adelman.

The injury really set snyder back, imo. He didnt have a great touch/handle to begin with and injuring a wrist doesnt help. It would have been interesting to see how he would have done if he hadnt missed that time. JVG was obviously getting him a decent amount of work before the injury. When he got back and had absolutely NO shot, guys were just backing off him so that took away his best attribute...penetration.

he also seems to struggle with the flow of the game. He gets lost on defense at times and the same goes for offense...or he would just make a dumb play, i.e. picking up dribble while trapped on the baseline, jacking up a long range shot early in the shot clock, etc.

that being said, he is an x-factor b/c the guy has attributes that the rockets need (tough, freaky athletic, aggressive, size for a guard) he just needs to refine his basketball skill.

I would prefer tmac, bonzi, and shane to take up the bulk of the minutes at the 2 and 3. He really doesnt do much more than be atheltic. Hes a good guy to have at the end of the bench, but I would trade him for a PF is the oppourtunity arose.

Like him a lot. Definately should be a better defender than he is, and he can't shoot worth a damn; however, he slashes and finishes well, he's capable of 15 and 5, and he's the most athletic guy on our team. He's still young, he's got a small contract, and he's about to come into his best years. Clearly, either Head or Snyder is gone, but it will be interesting to see which one stays because their style of ball is so vastly different. Personally, I like them both. Thought Snyder should have played more last year.

He definitely has potential and he got a bit better at hitting the three ball, but with TMac/Shane/Bonzi and MAYBE Luther all playing the 2/3, it looks like he won't have a lot of PT. We'll see. I'm all for trading him, but I do like his game

Tailor made for a faster paced up and down team.....he will attack the basket.

If he is on the Rockets this year, I think he probably starts at the 2 spot.

Really? So Battier is going to be a bench player and TMac starts at the 3?

    Interesting thought actually...

Why do people here think that Snyder has a low basketball IQ? I always thought he had good court sense.

Did you see him on the court last year? Maybe, at least I hope, it was just 'the system'???

If we want to give him a second chance, let it last until the trade deadline of this season. If there's no progress or hope at all, he should be traded before his stock plummets and we're stuck with him.

I see him as the oppostive of head.

synder can slash and take it to the hoop and head can shoot and pass the ball.

I still like teh guy, definately a bench player, but a good one. alot of you forgot about his game before his wrist injury. I think his wrist is hurting his game and his PT with JVG.

absolutely. even after he came back he was struggling to control the ball big time. i dont think he even got any shooting touch back until the last month of the season

I think Battier is most likely dealt for a PF since he is the best player outside TMac and Yao on Rockets. Head, Bonzi, and Snyder currently are probably fighting over 35 mins of PT if Battier stays. Bonzi lays another pyrite egg, Snyder will be a huge part of the team.

battier would be pretty much useless coming off the bench seeing as all he can do is play defense and shoot an open 3. we need guys who can create coming off the bench (bonzi, snyder, mike james). if battier isnt starting then we might as well move him.

I would think Alston is more expendable than Snyder actually. And remember Wells is only a one year thing.

If he is not dealt, then I think Battier may start at the PF spot more often with Adelman.....
