If Rudy Gay becomes a star in this league and the Rockets don't do jack for Battier's prime it will be another one of those "Tractor Traylor for Nowitzki" trades, or "Divac for Kobe".
That was a pretty nice dunk, especially when he cocked it back before letting it loose on Yi. It's true Yi is gonna get his face dunked on all season long, but no one will ever see it because the Bucks never really get any coverage. Ha ha.
I was impressed by both Rudy Gay and Yi JianLian. Both are going to be stars in this league IF they have Yao's attitude ie hard work, total dedication, and desire to be great. As JVG was fond of saying, everyone in the NBA has talent. What separates the great players from the also-ran is not talent, but desire to be great. And this is true in life outside basketball also. Stromile Swift was very athletic, but he lacked that desire. Fortunately for us Rocket fans, Yao Ming has that desire. He may not be athletic or fast, but he has that work ethic, and that heart of a champion. So far, I don't like Yi Jian Lian. It's hard to root for a guy who is letting his management force a team that drafted him to trade him to another city. THat's not fair. Draft players should not make any demands. And the fact that YI JianLian has yet to fire his idiotic manager isn't a good sign.
there are about 1200 Chinese residents in Milwaukee.. Yi is turning his back on them. 1200 people who want a hero. but heroes don't just unite one group of people, they unite all. that's what Yi doesn't understand. you see non chinese people were Yao jerseys. like Kenny Smith, he and Charles Barkley unite us in basketball debate with honesty and heart. Yi has divided people with his choices, people were ready to embrace him, yet he chooses not to embrace a challenge. The Los Angeles Clippers were the laughing stock of all sports. A hero came to them and said I shall lead the way. And Sam did, he united Los angeles and a nation with his play. in the faithful year of the heroes, maxwell/dream/horry/kenny/sam/mario/otis/carl/bullard/rudy t UNITED THE WORLD!!!!
Apparently Yi looked great, yet the highlights the NBA put up reflected none of that. Maybe David Stern is forcing the NBA to ignore Yi until he signs with the Bucks.
