This would apply to any home console. Ask the first generation Halo freaks how many hours they logged in that game alone, or even GeOW. I prefer Sony because the competition doesn't have the games I like to play. At least I don't run around trying to pretend to be impartial or provoke arguements with baseless claims.
RC or anyone else here that's played The Show 07.. How would you compare it to MLB ESPN 2k games (Xbox versions)..? I already hear it's much more realistic.. BUT.. How much better or worse is it at things like: Customizing options on create a player and editting set League Players.. i.e. Batting stances, all around abilities (sliders), pitching style for pitchers. Camera work and angles. Graphics. Sound. Crowd, Play by Play, Ball hitting the mitt, Crack of the bat. Batting and pitching. Over-simplified or engaging dynamics and control? Playable historic teams and stadiums. Extras. Cheats, skybox mini games, other unlockables. Situational games ( where you can pick the Inning, the score and situation and play it as a quick game or for practice in pressure situations). You already said no HR derby which is disappointing.. As an aside.. Why is the All-Star game in the same stadium year after year in Franchise mode in all Baseball games..? Anyone know of a game that doesn't do this?
By Xbox, do you mean the Xbox 1 versions, or the Xbox 360 versions? And if you meant Xbox 1, are you looking at getting the PS2/PSP version rather than the PS3 version (not much point in comparing graphics between a PS3 and Xbox game for example). There are differences between the PS2/PSP versions as well (they do offer a HR derby, and some other mode IIRC...not sure what they lack in comparison to the PS3 version). Of course, I haven't played much of MLB2K, and certainly not on any of those platforms, so I can't really compare those things too well anyway (any comparisons I could offer, I already did in my review). I played a few All-Star games in the RTTS mode, but I can't remember at all whether they changed stadiums (I only pitched one inning each time, so I didn't have much chance to notice the stadiums). I already returned the game, so I can't check it for that (or a few other things brought up by your questions).
uhh, what kind of games does the xbox 360 not have? the only genre I can think of is jap rpgs. is that the only thing you like to play?
Damn.. I was referring to Xbox 1.. and wanted to see if the Ps3 was worth getting for one game.. I really like baseball games..
I have this game and i am obsessed with it. Me and my friends play everyday. Anyone have the game and want to discuss hitting mechanics among other thing? I would like to get tips on how you approach each at-bat, but if no one cares I wont bother posting mine.
