After mooch hit that o so sweet shot, he ran directly over to the scorer's table to shake someone's hand and talked to them. What was that all about?

He went to thank the timekeeper for screwing up the clock before the play.

    Valio,

I think he went over to derisevely shake the Sun's scorekeeper's hand. Remember the stunt the scorekeeper pulled just before we inbounded the ball for the last play when he blew the horn, stopping the game and ?? exposing our offensive set. I'm sure it was just an accident?!?!

    In your face.:D :D

apparently Mooch was talking to Suns broadcaster Eddie Johnson (EJ!) and told him during the timeout that they were going to leave him and he was going to hit the winning shot. And then he did it, so he was going over to say I told you so.

    MOOOOOOCH!

"DOINK!!" Way to put up the game winning shot anyhow Moochie. That was some very blatant home-cooking with the buzzer sounding immediately after the entry pass on our last play with only 14 seconds left in a tied ball-game. That was truely pathetic and very unprofessional. WHAT A HOMER THAT TIME-KEEPER GUY WAS. I HOPE HE GETS FIRED OR A BIG FAT FINE BY THE NBA FRONT OFFICE. I salute Moochie for rubbing his nose in it after winning the game anyhow!

    ah! thanks guys...

    I just found this too:

"I went over and told (Suns broadcaster) Eddie Johnson that if
they leave me, I'm going to win the game," Norris said. "I knew
there was going to be a gap for them to give me the ball, I just
didn't know what side it was going to be on."

Mabey he was talking to Eddie Johnson before the last shot, but let me tell you right after making the shot when the game was over Moochie went directly over to the scorers table (or some table on the front row courtside) and was vigorously shaking the hand of some grey haired white man. Calvin Murphy said on the broadcast of the game that it was the time-keeper that Moochie went to see. There you have it!

I didn't see last nights game, but I did listen to it. I don't remember Gene Peterson saying anything about the time keeper screwing up.

There is no way it could have been as bad as that game back in like 1994 when the Jazz time keeper gave the Jazzholes an extra 10-15 second for the last shot. I was so pissed. I don't ever remember the Rockets' time keeper doing a little "homecooking". Maybe I am just a homer and don't see it.

    Yo Bayou,

That was one of the classic moments in Jazz idiocy. I remember that, too. Thank goodness the Rocks STILL won the game and series -- I wonder if the NBA would have even given the Jazz a reprimand.

I think that moment shows me exactly why I would never, ever want the Jazz to win a championship and why Malone/Stockton/Hornacek never earned my respect. Classless organization with cheap tactics.

As for Moochie, I thought his actions didn't look very good. Here in Austin, we saw the highlight on the news and it looked like Moochie hits the shot and goes and starts yelling at somebody at the media table. Doesn't look very classy...

I wondered about all of that too. It sure wasnt EJ he was shoking hands with...it was some old guy with a shell shocked look on his face. Moochie wasnt yelling...just shook the guys hands and kept repeating "I told you" at least thats what it looked like he said (I was only reading his lips) Maybe he was talking to EJ while he was shaking the timekeepers hand? I thought it was pretty classy myself

You idiots :D it was EJ he was talking to, notice the hand he shook was black? My dad thought it was an old white guy too, but the dude was sitting NEXT to EJ. He was telling EJ "I told you so" because of what he had told him before the timeout. Come on, gotta look at the minor details. He shook a black hand, not old white and wrinkly one
