the transformer's thread brought up memories of a set of toys i had when i was a kid. it's in the back of the head... i just can't remember the name and it's driving me nuts. here's all the details i can remember. -they're wind-ups with each robot having special abilities... i.e. one has a drill on his chest that spins, another had guns that reciprocated back and forth, etc.. -each robot came with a tiny comic book. the back story is that the good robots are trying to find their creators... or humans and earth or whatever planet they're on is a wasteland. -you can snap off they're limbs. their heads look like cockpits where humans can sit. the robots are about 3 inches tall. they can't transform. any help would be appreciated. i'd look them up on ebay if i remember the name. i think it was a cartoon too, but not absolutely sure.

There's Voltron. What's that show with the team of heroes who wore suits that could add parts to allow them to go in the water or fly, etc...?
If you can't remember it, the toy probably sucked anyways. You should have whined some more until your parents caved in and bought you some real Transformers.
