francis would be the last guy we would want. theres a reason why knicks fans hated him, and why the blazers didnt want anything to do with francis.

francis would be horrible for a motion offense. he dribbles WAY too much, his bball iq is too low, and he would be a non factor with our current team. i doubt Morey is even looking his way.

francis is a poor man's mike james and adelman doesnt want him.

with the max contract money he'll get from Portland, I don't think he cares about the difference b/t MLE and VMinimum.

And obviously, he likes to live in Houston.

If Adelman winds up playing Battier at the 4 (at times) we may need Steve's rebounding on the court. Just an observation.

I can't believe people on here want Francis back, yet they don't want Rashard. I coulld never see him fit with tmac on the team.

    Mike James is >>>>>>>>>>>Francis

Yeah, we don't need a quick, strong guard that takes it to the rim and finishes and gets to the foul line.

We don't need that at all. Rafer, Luther and the new midget all do that well enough I guess.

    That's really funny.

For what it's worth, I would take Francis at the veteran minimum. I would take him for the lower exception if we dealt a couple of the guards. But I wouldn't take him for any more than that.

There is no downside to bringing Francis back, he will only cost the vets min if cut. If he plays half as good as he can its still worth it at that cost.

We don't need a ball hog knucklehead to dribble the ball for the entire shot clock and miss jumpers.

If the price is right then it doesn't hurt to bench him if he pulls that nonsense. On the other hand, on nights when Tmac goes broke back, Yao goes MIA and the rest of the squad looks like YMCA ballers it would be nice to have a PG that takes it into the lane like he is on a mission.

Aren't you the one who predicted the winning streak at the end of the '04-'05 season??!

    Then it MUST be true!
    Ced knows all! :D

but seriously.. id love to have them all on our team..

i personally think steve shouldn't start.
It'll take a Sign and Trade to get Lewis [battier would have to be included]

and idk what webber's situation is [is he a FA?]

Why would Webber leave Detroit? I just don't see him leaving his home to come to Houston, when Detroit has a better chance at the Finals.

This guy was an ALL_STAR, he has talent and could be very prodductive for the Rockets once again. And I am sick of this "low bb iq" stuff. He can play basketball, what do you mean he has a low BB IQ?

Meaning he driblles too much and doesn't know when to give up rock....or jacking up 17 foot fadeaways while the shot clock runs down cause he's too busy doing crossovers, behind the back...I could go on and on......

He has talent. The rockets have pgs that do the SAME thing with much less talent then him (SKIP). Francis can finish and has heart, He is better than every pg they have on the roster, how could anyone not want to add talent to the team

I disagree. Francis was the heart of our team before Yao and Tmac. He never wanted to leave Houston and becuase of this I feel he never tried as hard as he did in Houston. I would LOVE to have the FRANCHISE back as our starting pg. I think it would help his career the way it helped Billups in Detroit. His career and our team would do a 180 for the good. Bring him home please. He has heart for the Rockets!!!!

i agree with you also..francis was HOUSTON basketball..they called him the franchise for crying out loud..i loved the passion he had for the rockets and if we could get an ounce of that back from him that would be awsome..but i just dont know how he would fit unless we trade alston,v-span and jl3 and get some better fowards
