I think that they will move their PG's except Mike, and the Rookie. Span will stay in Greece and they will sign Stevie with the most of their TE. So my roster looks like Steve - Mike - Rookie T-Mac - Bonzi - Syder Battier - Novak - Reed Wilcox - Webber (vet min) - Chuck - Rookie #2 Yao - Mutombo -
Right Said Ced, there is no way they sign franchise. i'm sorry to be the one to tell you. but it's true.
Mike - Span - Brooks Head - Bonzi Mac - Novak - Reed Near All-Star Power Foward - Hayes - Landry Yao - Mutombo Span is back. JLIII, Snyder, Battier, Sura all moved for a pretty good power foward.
Point Guard Unknown, Brooks V Span Shooting Guard McGrady James Small Forward Bonzi Landry Novac Power Forward Unknown Hayes Center Yao Ming Unknown Mutombo Three unknowns yet to be filled Lucas Head Sura Snyder Battier GONE!
The truth is, none of us have even the faintest clue what the roster will look like next year. Other than Yao and Tracy, no one is guaranteed a roster spot. Plus, there are endless permutations of trades that could go down in the next few months. I'd wait another two weeks to see who the Rockets are targeting in free agency before I'd even guess about the makeup of next year's roster.
If the people in the GARM could decide it would be like this: PG Vspan - Mike James - Aaron Brooks SG Luther Head - Daniel Ewing SF T-Mac - Bonzi - Shane Battier - Devean George - Gerald Wallace - Rashard Lewis PF Novak - James Singleton - Chuck Hayes - Josh Smith C Yao Dikembe doesn't exist anymore, and key players like Ewing, George, and Singleton will obviously be the answer! 6 Small Fowards!? No problemo! k im done with my daily sarcasm
I think we won't bring Steve. But I know Rockets are workin' to get good startin' big man. I can't wait until we can get FA. That would be interestin'. We can of course make trade. I'm sure our roster will change case Chuck won't play in the first 5 nex year, that's for sure.
Hey Lost_Elephant (BTW - does your moniker mean "wayward republican? ) In your line-up, could you name me just one "near All Star" PF the ROX could pick up as a FA? I mean, Zach Randolph is the only "near" All Star from the WC that I really wanted in a ROX Uni (no matter what the skeptics say about his past, the guy puts up "near" all star numbers every year and would have given Boozer a run for his money on the low block). Anyone else that can give us 15/12 on a nightly basis AND defend against WC PF's like Boozer and Duncan? Just wondering. Also, before the draft I was advocating that we send our pick plus Luther and cap filler to the Magic for Darko. I'm still for that. Anyone else like that move? Darko is NOT THE BUST he was proclaimed to be, and he's young and getting better. He could be not only our starting PF but our back up C when Deke retires. So, with that in mind.... Francis/MJ/Brooks TMAC/Bonzi/Snyder Battier/TMAC/Bonzi/Novak Darko/Landry/Hayes Yao/Deke/Darko And, yes that puts Novak in a suit as a result of DNP, Coaches decision, or injury list on most nights!!!
In a perfect world, this would be our lineup. It could happen, i guess, and I hope it does but i'm not betting we can land both Franchise and Wilcox. I just hope we can get one, preferably Wilcox.
Mike James - Brooks T-Mac - Bonzi Battier Yao - Mutumbo Hayes - Landry Trade Luther, Rafer, and Lucas for somenoe
Alston - James - Brooks McGrady - Wells - TBD Battier - Reed - Novak TBD - Hayes - Landry Yao - Mutombo - TBD
Alston / James / Brooks McGrady / Wells / ? Battier / Novak / ? ? - Hayes - Landry Yao - Mutombo - ? i think snyder, v-span, john lucas, and head are all possibly gone.
if healthy with just what we have done so far we will win 55 to 58 games. if its 58 we could be 2 or 3 seed...then we will win the first round. we won 52 games last year and mac missed 11 and yao missed 30 some games. add mike james, resign hayes and add bonzi to the mix and how can we not win 55 at a minimum and upwards to 58...if we add just a good pf, we will win 60 plus and have a chance at the number 1 seed and morey will be executive of the year and adelman will be coach of the year...we need to stop the stress around here...its all good
agreed. they've done a good job in regular season. they just need to really show some balls during playoffs.
are you paying attention to the news? steve got traded to blazers and i dun think they will let him go...he is a pretty decent starting pg for them.... webber wouldnt leave piston, wilcox is not coming either...so ur plan doesnt make any sense at all btw, battier was confirmed not to be traded by the vp of peak
IMHO: James/ V-span/ Brooks Bonzi/ Snyder T-Mac/ Rashard/ Novak Hayes/ Landry Yao + back up center + either a SG, or a PF (via MLE) + scrub
