For those of you that are into spyshot photos and haven't seen these yet, here are supposedly some 2008 Honda Accord coupe and sedan spyshots : http://jalopnik.com/cars/accord_ing-to-our-sources/spy-photos-2008-honda-accord-272481.php
07 Camry > 08 Accord. I love Honda's....but the 08 Accord is just ugly. I wonder if they decided to increase the size again....pretty soon the Accord/Camry will be in a class of their own (monolith sized sedans) if they already aren't. I read on TOV the Accord will have some standard features found on sedans that are priced $40k+. I wonder what they are.....well still not enough to get me past the asthetics. Maybe It'll grow on me like the new 3 series, then again maybe not. 07 CRV for me.
It looks like -- GASPS -- a Saturn! Seriously though, most cars within a similar class these days aren't that far off from one another, so I don't choose by 'brand' anymore...unless it's a Chinese brand then forget everything I just said.
the front looks like a modern version of toyotas rav4 and the back looks like the solara's tail... but overall it looks like a new hyundai or kia.... i sure hope the new acuras dont look like that
I believe that maybe the Toyotas bought and sold in America are built here by American workers. Therefore, they're practically American cars.
I dont think they are better. If I wanted a car that lasts longer, goes for 150,000 miles, affordable, etc...I'd go with Toyota or Honda. If I want a car that drives better, handles better, has better features, and looks a hell of a lot nicer, I go German.
I used to drive German too. But I got sick of calling American tow trucks to come pick the piece of Scheiße up off the road and dropping lots of American money on fixing it. So I bought a Civic.
the 2004-05 accord was a much better design. It had the cool alien headlight fronts and the boxy back. I love mine.
I had this webpage link from autobytel just going off on Mustang about how it isn't a true American Sports Car anymore because it is built in Mexico.
I like the Honda more than the Camry. I thought I'd like the Camry until I saw it in person. They put those stupid skirts on the Camry (option?) that don't even look like they belong on the car. I don't care for the back end on the Accord sedan, but I like the fronts on both cars. It'll be a hit as usual, but just need to see what kind of engine they put on it. What I'm really waiting for is to see what the 2009 Acura TL looks like and what's under its hood.
The TL will never be a successful entry luxury ($30K-$35k) sedan. The 3 series and IS250 is killing the TL in sales. I have a Acura myself...but would probally never purchase another one unless if it's a extremely limited edition.......sports car....ehehe.
Nice, I like it.. The back end reminds me of a S class and the wheels look kinda like the old M5s.. Very nice and IMO Accord has always been nicer to look at than the feminine Camry..
The TL is already a successful entry-level luxury car. What figures are you quoting? In the US, the following are sales totals : April 2007 TL - 5977 IS 350/300/250 - 4605 May 2007 TL - 5760 IS 350/300/250 - 5722 YTD 2007 TL - 24814 IS 350/300/250 - 22494 And this is considering the fact that the TL is a 3-4 year old model, so it should be getting beat on. I've been going by these numbers, but if they're wrong, please show me where/how, and I'll be more than happy to agree with you. I'll agree with you on the 3-series, but it's not like 95% of the people that buy that car are buying it for the handling or car's qualities itself - it's usually wannabe-rich types and daddy's girls that end up in them. They also have a variety of models to choose from in the 3-series line unlike the TL which is basically... well... the only TL you can buy (unless you count the Type S).
