Undrafted players we should consider...

A few undrafted players I hope the Rockets look at. Not necessarily sign, but see if they can get on their summer squad, etc.

Ivan Radenovic: Big player, but shooter. Bigger version of Novak, but if cheap, who know.

Ekene Ibekwe: I remember hearing he is still learning the game. He was a good energy player for Maryland, put up good numbers, and has decent size at PF....at least bigger than our current PF's.

Curtis Sumpter: If he just stopped getting injured, he would have been a lottery pick in my opinion. Not sure how healthy he is now, but a big guard, who is quick and can score.

Kyle Visser: Big Center. Somewhat mobile, who put up good numbers. Didn't see him play much.

Coleman Collins: Big player, who put up good numbers. I think he got injured this past year which caused some production fall, esp scoring, but his other numbers didn't fall that much considering his drop in minutes.

Terrence Roberts: Didn't see him play, but has decent numbers, though seems streaky. Has some size.

BTW before says Boggins from OSU, he will be a SF in the NBA. At least at the start, plus his outside shot isn't that great.

(Once we trade Head) Lee Humphrey: I'm serious. I have never seen a player stroke the ball like he did in college. I know he is short, and he probably has no atheleticism or defense (hmm, sounding a lot like Reddick) , but he played a big role on Florida, did it in fewer shots, and Donovan has to have taught him enough defense to stay on a floor.

i think the 6 players we have drafted the last two years is enough in my opinion.

    just my opinion though ;)

Who I would like Houston to invite to their summer league:

    -Guilermo Diaz
    -Malick Badiane
    -Bobby Brown
    -Alvis Wyatt
    -Jawad Williams
    -James White

More guys with explosiveness, athleticism and/or length.

Humphrey is definately one to invite. Shocked Radenovic was not drafted. Agree that Sumpter has NBA talent, but didn't play enough.

Here's what the SL team is shaping up to be:

    PG: Brooks, Lucas, (Jeff Horner)
    SG: Newley, (Andre Emmitt), ???
SF: Eliyahu, (Michael Harris), (Carl English)
    PF: Landry, Novak (Ivan McFarlin)
    C: ???, ???, ???

*In the Aus media Newley said immediately after the draft that he was waiting for the Rockets to call to see if they wanted him at SL. In the audio on the frontpage of CF.net Morey said he hadn't called Newley yet about SL. If they want him there, he'll most likely be there.

*Loren Woods a center was thinking about playing for the Rockets inj SL but has now accepted an offer to play in Turkey.

I guess the Rockets FO will be busy calling agents of undrafted centers trying to complete the SL roster and the longshot to find some height to sit behind Yao.

Zabian Dowdell will probably be hot undrafted property. He's a PG but at least he's 6'3 which is an unheard of hight for a Rockets PG.

I think Russell Carter out of Notre Dame would be a nice one. He'd give us some much needed athletecism and shooting we need.

kyle visser was rated by Hollinger as the 15th most promissing collegiate in the draft. plus he's a center.

    i'd give him an invite.
