Thought I would share my thoughts...

I generally like this ilk of film and 'The One' did not let me down.

Pros-Incredible 'Matrix-esque effects', Jet Li is new action star (nice to have another oriental star with Jackie Chan type appeal, without the humor), interesting (albeit 'holed' plot, incredible fight sequence, video game feel.

Cons-Too short, too predictable, video game feel.

The flick set itself up for a sequel and I'll go see that as well. Maybe it will be called 'The Two'

Definitely looking forward to that one. However, I'm still behind on my reviews and am seeing The Last Castle and Domestic Disturbance (big Vince Vaughn and Teri Polo...yum...fans) today.

Just idle curiosity... when you go to review a film, do you go alone?

I've only been to a couple movies alone, but find it to be a totally different experience when all the social stuff is thrown out.

I only go to movies that my wife won't dig alone.

me too......when I want to see most action movies ROX won't go, so RAN wonders if vickie still remembers him, and...no just kidding ;) :p . ... It feels wierd because a vast majority make it a social event, but sometimes I just go in the afternoon and just enjoy it.

No, shanna or my girlfriend normally go with me. I like going to movies alone, however. I started doing it when I lived in Chicago for a few years, and it's really enjoyable. I have this stupid problem where I have a hard time being happy unless I know everyone else is, so a lot of times at movies, especially ones I recommend, or want to see (i.e. artsy fartsy), I might not enjoy them as much because I'm worried about how everyone else is liking it.

BTW, Domestic Disturbance is surprisingly a great thriller. Aside from the stupid ass name, there wasn't much wrong with it.
