And ESPN ran with it, making it one of the top stories of that day.

Kenton County is where I live. :) Let's just say I hope the Bengals play better than they testify next season.

Cincinnati is a good town, we just have crappy sports teams.

i'd be very excited if i was a portland fan but they have nothing guaranteed and a long way to go. right now they have potential.

francis, mobley, griffin, yao. that team is a dynasty when they develop.

well at least yao is real good.

LOL, we used to talk that way about those guys. Anyway I think Portland is making a big mistake not taking Durant but it's not like Oden is gonna be a bust so yes if I were a trailblazer fan I would be pumped.

'competitive' for sure but hardly a powerhouse; they'll be fun to watch regardless who they pick up; reminds me of the Spurs when The Admiral came into the league

No, ESPN - like most news outlets do when this happens - reported that another outlet had reported this.

This was manifestly true. It was a fact. There was a report of a failed drug test. That's why it was reported as such.

This situation is rather easily distinguishable from what I discussed, and the post you quoted, and I don't need to explain to you how, you are smart enough to figure that out.

i don't understand that move at all.

steve's only a good pickup if you get him on the cheap after new york waives him. i don't know why anyone would touch that max contract.

the trade is more about frye and unloading zach. steve is just a contract throw in. sad how it has come to this for him.

But he's a contract throw-in with a potential upside. It's a bit too early to say he's definitely washed up. If nothing else, he could be a great off-the-bench scoring punch if he's willing to accept that role and if his body holds up.

Frye, though injury-prone, is a solid player. Granted he's not a 20-10 machine like Randolph, but he would be a pretty good compliment to Oden in the front court. I feel like Portland could have gotten MORE, but hey, they dumped a max contract and got a pretty good PF in return.

I have a very low opinion of Frye, I feel they could've at least gotten a future first rounder from the Knicks. I don't like the trade for the Blazers, but their future is still very bright.

Frye will be the backup to Aldridge & Oden, actually a decent role for him.

The Blazers are gonna have alot of cap room in 2009 after Francis and Lafrentz contracts are off the books. That's like 28 million coming off their books with Oden, Alderidge, and Roy still on their rookie contracts.

One Kobe Bryant could be a free agent in 2009. Give Oden, Alderidge, and Roy a couple of years more seasoning and it could be really special.

    Oden
    Alderidge
    Kobe
    Roy
    Jack
